Sorry for the lousy formating. Apparently there are some coding issues in the cut and pasting from the new WT CD ROM. Next week we will be posting the WT as a photo of a PDF. That&#39;s because this week&#39;s WT is the last WT archived on the 2007 CD.

Here are my comments on the WT study article for this week: While it is true that Jehovah&#39;s Witnesses have determinedly stood up to persecution and Jehovah has given us his backing, the WT&#39;s application of prophecy is in error. God&#39;s promise to Israel, that no weapon formed against them would have any success, was given in prophecy to Israel after they were released from Babylon. Obviously before that the Chaldean army had success in destroying Jerusalem and Judah, etc. In the spiritual application the prophecy applies only after God judges and punishes his people. Take for example the numerous prophecies in Daniel and Revelation, which had no minor fulfillment, that foretell that God&#39;s holy place, sanctuary along with the holy ones will be trampled underfoot for a pre-determined period of time. Again, like the Chaldeans in ancient times, the enemies of God are allowed to enjoy a measure of success against God&#39;s people.

Of course, the Society has cleverly applied all those prophecies to 1916 and the Second World War. But the fraud of their interpretations is apparent to those who are willing to test their "inspired expressions." For example, the article interpets the prophecy of Zechariah as having fulfillment now. However, the 11th chapter of Zechariah foretells that the shepherds are going to be broken and the sheep scattered. Mind you, Zechariah was written after Jerusalem was destroyed. So, the prophecy applies to the Christian Israel of God. The Society, though, says that the shepherds are the clergy and the sheep that are destined to be scattered are the flocks of Christendom. So, they pick and chose how they want the prophecy to be understood in order to bestow upon themselves God&#39;s scriptural blessing.

Also, I thought it was particularly disingenuous of the Society to write off all of the media reports as "misrepresentations, malicious slander and smear campaigns." Were the recent media reports regarding the WT&#39;s multi-million dollar payouts to silence child abuse victims misrepresentations? No, the WT is guilty of thier own misrepresentation and outright deception.

Of course, it is considered an act of disloyaty to Jehovah for any of Jehovah&#39;s Witnesses to say otherwise. But, like I have always said, Jehovah gets the last word and his rebuke of the liars and con men running the Society will be best.

The modern-day history of Jehovah&#39;s witnesses is a testimony to the integrity of the brothers and the way they were fed spiritually at the proper time. What happened in Nazi Germany is beyond human understanding, yet they stood firm. Their faith should prove an encouragement to us as the end draws near. Or course this all happened at a time when the Watchtower society were at their zenith. They were fighting the spiritual war on several fronts, Europe and legally defending and establishing the Good News in the USA. In many respects Jehovah&#39;s backing was right behind the brothers as stated at Isaiah 54:7 (even though minor in its fulfilment) "Any weapon whatever that will be formed against you will have no success, and any tongue at all that will rise up against you in the judgment you will condemn." Between 1933 – 1945 the field was cultivated in the face of adversity and numbers grew. There were more witnesses at the end of the Second World War than the beginning, and as for the Good News the bothers were victorious in legally defending and establishing it the USA. Yes Satan was unsuccessful in his efforts. Satan&#39;s labours to rupture the integrity of Jehovah&#39;s witnesses will no doubt continue as long as the system carries on. Even so this weeks Watchtower furnishes the reader with the impression the sun will always shine on the Watchtower regardless of Satan&#39;s virile attacks.

<div align="center">Fine conduct a rebuff (1 Peter 2:12)</div>
In the main Jehovah&#39;s Witnesses are a people of fine conduct by the fact they endeavour to implement the Bible in their daily lives. Their conduct at assemblies and the like are a testimony to the outside world of what can be achieved through the application of bible standards. Nevertheless no matter how well people conduct themselves we all have to take collective responsibility for bringing reproach on Jehovah&#39;s name, i.e. the alliance with Egypt.

"A newspaper even claimed that Jehovah&#39;s Witnesses were using balloons to get Bible literature into the country! God&#39;s promise to his loyal servants proved true"

Reminds me of the tricks the CIA played on the Cubans
