View Full Version : False Christs And False Prophets

Through the years there have been many people who claim to be Christ or sent by Christ. Jim Jones, David Koresh and Heaven's Gate just to name a few.

Matthew 24
4 (http://) And in answer Jesus said to them: “Look out that nobody misleads YOU; 5 (http://) for many will come on the basis of my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many.

23 (http://) “Then if anyone says to YOU, ‘Look! Here is the Christ,’ or, ‘There!’ do not believe it. 24 (http://) For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will give great signs and wonders so as to mislead, if possible, even the chosen ones. 25 (http://) Look! I have forewarned YOU. 26 (http://) Therefore, if people say to YOU, ‘Look! He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out; ‘Look! That article gave me the creeps, Shibboleth. I am hearing and seeing more reports and comments from different cultures and groups that they really think we are in the end of days and something will happen soon.

It&#39;s not just us saying that anymore.

Keep on the watch!

"Then if anyone says to YOU, &#39;Look! Here is the Christ,&#39; or, &#39;There!&#39; do not believe it. 24 For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will give great signs and wonders so as to mislead, if possible, even the chosen ones"

The latest nut is only a string of many. It&#39;s interesting to note that in the prophesy Jesus says even the &#39;chosen ones&#39; will be &#39;mislead&#39;. Very few JWs drift back into false religion as they are unable to accept the doctrinal teachings of the church. So to mislead the chosen it would take more than a few cranks who come in the name of Jesus. The scripture must be referring to the GT when Satan creates false messiahs and performs powerful signs through them. We know we will need to find the &#39;secret place of God&#39; and no doubt through prayer and faith Jehovah will revile it to us. It will at that point we will be in a position to support Christ brothers. But Satan will definitely attempt to make a counterfeit as in the case of this report.

Jesus also says "if possible". So the chosen ones will only be seduced if it is entirely possible to do so. It doesn&#39;t mean that they will be seduced but there is a chance if they let their guard down. These would also mislead before the great tribulation as well as during the tribulation. The scripture is just not for the great tribulation it is also part of the pangs of distress which we are definitly in.

Regarding this counterfit Christ, I dont think that we can truely imagine the scope of how authentic this will appear. Jesus said that they will perform many powerful works. therefore warns us not to go out into the crowd and take a sneek peek to see whats going on. nOW BACK TO THE COUNTERFIT THING, Did you know that crooks are more clever than ever now when it comes to producing fake money? In some cases the government as reported that these bills look so real from the color to the texture, that they are almost impossable to detect. Now take that on a BIG SCALE, Satan is the biggest crook thier is, we cant even imagine the foney christ that he will come up with that has all the looks and feels of the real thing. scarry!

The most serious contender for the title at the moment must be Maitreya, well worth a google search. Apparently he just sort of appeared in 1982, and just sort of appears and dissapears in front of crowds of worshippers.

Heres a couple of tasters for you :-
Who is Maitreya?
He has been expected for generations by all of the major religions. Christians know him as the Christ, and expect his imminent return. Jews await him as the Messiah; Hindus look for the coming of Krishna; Buddhists expect him as Maitreya Buddha; and Muslims anticipate the Imam Mahdi or Messiah.

http://www.shareintl.org/images/nairobi3Mait.gif (http://www.shareintl.org/maitreya/images/Maitreya1.jpg)Although the names are different, many believe that they all refer to the same individual: the World Teacher, whose personal name is Maitreya (pronounced my-tray-ah). Preferring to be known simply as the Teacher, Maitreya has not come as a religious leader, or to found a new religion, but as a teacher and guide for people of every religion and those of no religion.

At this time of great political, economic and social crisis Maitreya will inspire humanity to see itself as one family, and create a civilization based on sharing, economic and social justice, and global cooperation.

<div align="left">Since his sudden appearance &#39;out of the blue&#39; in Nairobi (http://www.shareintl.org/background/miracles/MI_nairobi.htm), Kenya, on 11 June 1988, Maitreya has made many more miraculous appearances. In most cases, he has magnetized water in the vicinity before he appeared.</div>
<div align="left">So far, people have discovered the healing properties of this magnetized water (http://www.shareintl.org/background/miracles/MI_water.htm) from wells in Mexico, Germany and India. On this page you will find a list of Maitreya&#39;s appearances since 1988.

With the Kingdom of the Heavens being set up along with the earthly NWO (counterfiet Kingdom ),
The NWO will have to convince with signs of all sorts if even, the very elec( anointed ) could be decieved.
Or has that already happened ?
Well any way we excaped this first deception,in our present time, and, so now that we are all on the watch here, Little Value offered some very stong advise
Now that we are aware of what is to take place, heed Little Values advice ," when we hear of these things when the time comes, and it could be now" "don&#39;t even take a SNEEK PEEK."

Hopefully none of us will be fooled by their Hollywood "special effects". That&#39;s why Jesus return is as lightning from the eastern parts to the western parts, that&#39;s technology they will never have. When all these people are wondering in awe, we can be there to tell them they&#39;re watching a movie.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Here is an interesting rendering of Matthew 24:23-24 from the 21st Century Bible:
23 &#39;Then, if anyone should say, {Look!} Here or there is the Anointed, don&#39;t believe it. 24 Because, false anointed and false prophets will arise, and they&#39;ll perform great omens, and signs to mislead (if possible) the elected.

The great tribulation is going to be a very interesting time, especially in view of the fact that at the time the false anointed are on the scene, the two witnesses will also be doing their preaching. It seems that the two witnesses may have miraculous powers (Rev. 11), so it might indeed be difficult to recognize the true from the false, except by what is being taught.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Some of the so-called Christs have been mentioned and what they preach is not nearly as important as how they act! We need to "walk the walk" as the end draws closer. Kind of like "living the sermon". These crazies that are claiming to be the long awaited messiah need some "couch time".

But as his following expanded, his claims did, too. In 1998, de Jesus avowed that he was the reincarnation of the Apostle Paul. Two years ago at Growing in Grace&#39;s world convention in Venezuela, he declared himself Christ. And just last week, he called himself the Antichrist and revealed a "666" tattooed on his forearm. His explanation: that, as the second coming of Christ, he rejects the continued worship of Jesus of Nazareth.[/b]

I downloaded the news article :icon_eek: about the latest wan-a-be Messiah. Sounds like we are all concerned that we won&#39;t be mislead. When we are out in the public and persons take certain actions (pull out and light a cigarette, for instance) do we say to ourselves "that isn&#39;t one of Jehovah&#39;s Witnesses!" We know persons by how they act and what they say ---- at least we should. Steadfast mentioned the need for deep study of God&#39;s Word. In conducting studies I would use this illustration:
The difference between knowing the scriptures and living by God&#39;s Word is a bridge called meditation. We need to buy out the time to MEDITATE on the things we hear and contemplate how/if we need to make a change in our life. In other words, we should know how Witnesses ACT , so we don&#39;t get carried away by what imposters have to say.
Am I identifyable as a Witness? Do I speak and ACT like one? May Jehovah help us all to do that!
Still trying...Dorcas :MSN Vlinder:

Speechless, I understand. How will they conceal the West from this one, or distort it?

The plot thickens.

So it appears that Ahmadinejad has no problem with "Christ" or "Christians", whose governments are infiltrated with the Zionist terrorists. However I don&#39;t recall where Jesus said he was bringing anybody with him, besides lots of angels, let alone claiming inferiority to the "Mahdi".

I wonder if the aura of light from heaven they experienced at the UN came from Satan or from some Hollywood special effects technology.

I can already see the mainstream media has no intention of covering this. All I&#39;m seeing on the news today is more globalist propaganda and the new "fat police" in the UK. Funny how the cutting edge in radical developments is emanating from London.

Just a few weeks ago I was reading how these 2 guys were prosecuted by the British government, who spent 50,000 pounds in litigations, for letting their arthritic, 8 year-old Rottweiler named Rusty get too fat. They found the guys guilty of animal abuse.

Something I could never understand about Muslims, how they honour and respect him as a lessor prophet than muhamed, but dont they know he said he was the Son of God and that anything after him, even from an Angel, was to be cursed, do they think he was a lying prophet or something?

Anyway, though I daresay not all Muslims are the same, I do speak with a Muslim at work.
He tells me they are, just like us, expecting God to clear away the wicked and restore paradise at any time soon.
This matches up with what the Iranian president is saying.

Makes you wonder why they would want to bother killing Westerners if they belive God is about to sort every thing out soon?

Maybe its all just a pack of Zionist lies, so that we can steal thier oil, steal thier land, put thier monetary system under the control of the Global bankers, just like ours is.

Thier our one or two sites on the net where Islam speaks well of and want to unite with Christianity against the common Zionist foe.

As for Britian becoming a Nazi state, well, we dont need terrorism to spoil our western way of life, we have our own polititians to do that.
Not enough room in prisons for habitual criminals, but you can bet they will find a place for you soon if you say homosexuality is a sin.

Maybe its all just a pack of Zionist lies, so that we can steal thier oil, steal thier land, put thier monetary system under the control of the Global bankers, just like ours is.[/b]I don&#39;t know if you read the link within your link containing the article "The World Toward Illumination", but it&#39;s a long but fascinating read. This is what is available for them to read on the official website of the Iranian government. The students there are very education oriented and you can bet that many or most are reading it. Here&#39;s a few highlights:

The apocalypse is a deep belief among humans regarding the end of the world. An end in which there will be goodness and beauty and man will gain his old time wish. Mary who is a British Christian says, the earth has in it good tidings, to give blessings to all houses, to tame all savage jungles, to give fresh strength to all the dry and burnt deserts with boiling springs, for the leaves, fruits, flowers and abundance of blessings to reveal the beauties of the world and unite all people&#39;s hearts to praise the Creator. That day will certainly arrive.

In the past programs we said that divine religions have common points regarding the end of time and the savior. They believe that the future of this world&#39;s life will be with the victory of the truth and the rule of faith. Of course among the followers of religions, some have turned extremist, among them the Zionist Christians. This group interprets the teachings of Jesus based on its own interests and presents plans that are in line with this sect&#39;s arrogance and domination –seeking in the world. As Dr. Edgar, Secretary General of the National Council of Churches says extremist Christians do not present the original view of the existing Christianity; rather they are deviating current at the service of Zionism. The day that the actor of western movies Ronald Reagan became US president , hardly anyone paid attention when he said , I want God to give me the blessing of being able to push the button for nuclear missiles to be launched marking the beginning of Armageddon . In 1983 he told the Zionist lobby when I look at the ancient prophets, the holy book and the signs that predict Armageddon; I ask myself will we be the generation that will witness this war? Believe me these predictions are in accordance with the era we live in.

After that, especially under current US president George W Bush the activities of Zionist Christians intensified. Using the religious beliefs of Christianity and Judaism they introduce themselves as God&#39;s chosen agents to provide the grounds for Armageddon. With special deceitfulness they take advantage of Christians&#39; beliefs to their own benefit. Bush in early 2003 chanted this deceitful slogan: the US has been called on to give freedom which is a divine blessing to all world creatures! We now see that dozens of satellite channels using the most attractive methods propagate the latest teachings of these extremist Christians. The 24-hour programs of more than 1500 TV networks, 80 000 priests, 200 scientific institutes and colleges as well as Hollywood, have placed the issue of the end of the world as the axis of many of their products and insinuate that Armageddon is near. Blackstone who is the father of Christian Zionists in the US in his book titled Christ Will Come promised that Christ would come in the year that Israel is founded in occupied Palestine that is 1948. But soon it became known that this prediction was another untrue and deceitful promise.

The Christian Zionist sect believes that in Armageddon 200 million forces of the east and millions of people from other parts of the world will engage in war in a valley by the same name. At that time Christ will appear and will take the followers of this religion to heaven on a spaceship. That is when human history will end and they can witness the destruction of the earths&#39; inhabitants. With such predictions, extremist Christians overlook Christ&#39;s teachings ,especially his good will and peace for all humanity. We know that Prophet Jesus PBUH was the manifestation of kindness and peace and is known in this way in the world. At the end of time he will together with Hazrat Mahdi (May God hasten his reappearance) ,who is mankind&#39;s savior confront the manifestations of oppression and polytheism,. Thus contrary to the Christian Zionists &#39; claim we cannot accept that this divine prophet would lead a destructive nuclear war that would destroy humanity. American author and researcher Ms Grace Halsell in the book Predictions and Politics has criticized the views of Zionist Christians. The interesting point is that she herself was first a follower of this sect but when she came to know about the truth of its superstitious and deviating ideas she decided to write this book. She considers the final war of Armageddon unjust and inhuman and writes, Protestant priests in their TV programs that are liked by the masses try to convince people that they do not have to strive for attaining peace in order to have a bright future, rather they should want war. They say God has planned for us who live in this generation to start a nuclear war. Ms Halsell adds. They do not tell people that Jesus&#39; path was not based on military power and that his message was peace.

The Christian Zionist sect overlooks the right to live for some other nations. For example John Voord who is one of the sects&#39; preachers with total impudence says regarding all the sufferings and injustices tolerated by the Palestinians: God has not given a place to the Palestinians in his general plan; God&#39;s attention is focused on the Jews. Another activity of this sect is to distort Islam&#39;s image. This group in order to bring Armageddon closer and reach their goals, has launched intense propaganda against Muslims. This propaganda gained new dimensions after the 9/11 events. Christian extremists by changing Islam&#39;s teachings and the Quran&#39;s ayahs, introduce Islam as a violent and terrorist –creating religion. In this line Hollywood in its products relates evil and mischief to the east and Islamic countries and by magnifying the catastrophe, creates doubts among its addressees. Grace Halsell at the end of her book writes, instead of keeping silent, all the world&#39;s peace seeking people must voice their protest against the union between the Israeli government and the US warmongering Christians and prevent this nuclear Armageddon in the most effective way.

Not enough room in prisons for habitual criminals, but you can bet they will find a place for you soon if you say homosexuality is a sin.[/b]

Or if you steer any of the blame for the holocaust toward the Zionists.

I would suggest for anyone who lives within 500 miles of the valley plain of Megiddo to start packing.

Well there was also that messianic cult that tried to kill the head shia cleric in Najaf recently. It was bizarre since it was made up of sunni and shia. They were trying to bring about armegeddon by killing him and other clerics.

The Iranian president talking about bringing back the 12th imam or mahdi is nothing new. He has beentalking about this for some time. I followed it quite extensively this past summer. The thing that is quite intriguing is that most westerners think he is crazy. Personally I think he is quite sane.

(Jesus proberbly would reject worship of himself, although not because of a fleshly replacement) jv

Although the fellow in this story would obviously qualify as a false Christ, he is hardly likely to come anywhere near fooling people who are closely acquainted with the Christ of scripture.

I wonder if there will be more convincing cases.

this is an interesting topic, and a very important one as it carries a warning from Christ
"look i have forewarned you"

what is noticable to me is the way Christ describes people as saying

"look he is out in the wilderness",
"look he is in the inner rooms"

then he says
"do not believe it"

so part of the warning tells us not to believe the followers of these false Christs.

so it would appear that these false Christs and prophets who indeed perform "great signs and wonders" apparently attract large followings who proclaim them to be the Christ,.
they also supply people with the location wherever it may be

However Christ tells us that His presence will be visible like lightning to all his annointed all over the earth.
and they will gather to Him.

the question that follows is How will the other sheep recognise the Sons of the kingdom.
watchman has covered this in His essay about the presence of Christ, it is incredible!

just my thoughts

Quote taken from Miami Herald (link below)

De Jesús&#39; followers have lashed out against organized Christianity because they believe their prophet holds the true gospel, they say. His adherents have disrupted Catholic processions on Good Friday and protested outside an evangelical church gathering in Miami&#39;s Tropical Park. Last July, they tore up literature published by the Jehovah&#39;s Witnesses and other Christian movements during a march in downtown Miami.[/b]

I thought I would resurrect this thread, because I saw a video on google tonight demonstrating some very astounding holograph projection technology. It seems that very soon they will have mastered it to the extent that they will be able to project 3D holographic images in the sky that would be visible from anywhere in a particular hemisphere, if they don&#39;t have it already. I saw some links to defense websites regarding the technology, but they have been removed from their websites, conspicuously. Perhaps they will devise something to look like the "Holy City New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven to be with mankind". Maybe even Jesus comes out of the Temple and sets foot on earth, along with the 144,000 chosen ones. I wonder if we will look like kooks when we try to tell people it isn&#39;t real.

The video showed a guy demonstrating before an auditorium, all he had was a wire in his sleeve, and he could make anything appear in his hand, and then he could put the objects down, such as toy cars and tanks, and they would be under his remote control, then this toy helicopter appeared and flew around the whole room, into the audience and back. They did not look like holograms, they looked solid. Amazing. They can make it appear as if your neighbor killed his wife, and that he&#39;s coming after you next. You just know that with this kind of technology, they will use it for the Big Deception, but not until they make a ton of money off the technology during the next Christmas season. It&#39;s also seems that it may make televisions and monitors obsolete. They will be able to project HD quality video onto the thin air.

You can get these videos if you google "video holograph image technology". Worth a look...

Dear Brother Jesh,

Holographic technology is real and it is here. There is talk that the NWO will use this technology to create a false first resurrection/rapture at the beginning of the tribulation.

I have said this before, and don&#39;t want to sound like a broken record, but we know from our recent study of the Bible that the first resurrection happens at the end of the tribulation, at the seventh trumpet. So why would the NWO take such an interest in doing this? Many preachers who support and promote the false pre-trib rapture/first resurrection are also secret supporters of the NWO.

Another thing that lends weight to all of this is that so many &#39;Christian&#39; churches are NGOs with the UN. Apparently these treacherous men will lead their disappointed flocks to the one-world government, one-world religion as the &#39;political expression of God&#39;s Kingdom on earth.&#39;

This kind of scenario really shows how important it is to know the Bible and not follow any manmade doctrine.

Very interesting, this hologram business.

What is also very interesting is that the most significant feature of the sign of Christ&#39;s presence is the fact that Jesus stressed more than anything else the dangers of being misled by false prophets and false christs and those who will be claiming the Christ is here or there. I suspect there will be a few hologram christs popping up here and there.

Once that happens you wont be able to break away from the deception.....even if you were shown the whole nuts and bolts of it all.

Personaly....I think anyone who goes out and join the crowd to take a look at this false christ will probably come under demon control. I mean..why not....its the demons orchestrating it anyway. Once that happens you wont be able to break away from the deception.....even if you were shown the whole nuts and bolts of it all.[/b]

Hi LV

I think Jehovah might have some wonderful surprises for us. Now that&#39;s where YOU and I and all of us come in, and Jehovah says he will pour out his Holy Spirit in those days like never before. Yes many will take a look, and most will be deceived, but there&#39;s a GREAT MULTITUDE that survives this thing!

Remember that old Kingdom song, "Keep Your Eyes on the Prize"? It was one of the few that I liked!
