I have been looking at 'Year Books' pre-1945, and I noticed Jesse Hemery served as Vice-President of the IBSA.
After using a search engine, I found out he served as Vice-President from 1901 to 1946, appointed originally by Brother Russell and serving in that capacity throughout Brother Rutherford's presidential term and during the early years of Brother Knorr.
To my surprise this longtime serving brother was disfellowshipped by Brother Knorr in 1951.
The reason for his disfellowshipping it would seem, was due to his view that the prophecies of Revelation were for the future, and that he could no longer accept the present time as being the period of Christ's presence.
After leaving the Society he founded the Goshen Fellowship.
Does anyone know about this brother's views and reasonings? Do they have a similiarity with the views some of us may have here on the DB?
Did he publish any of his reasonings?
Brotherly affection, Alex.
