The Discussion Board is once again live and open for business.
What will be most evident to everyone will be that we're starting with a clean slate; all of the previous posts are gone.
As was announced, this scheduled maintenance was a major one. For that reason, we did say that while we anticipated a fairly smooth process, it may not go as planned. And it definitely did not go as planned. In the end, it was decided that we would just go ahead and re-install the board--using the newer software--and move forward, wiping the slate clean for 2007. It was an unfortunate situation, but everyone needs to be made aware that at any given moment, this could all vanish. Furthermore, this system of things could come to a crashing crescendo, leaving us without access to bank accounts, grocery markets, even heat and electricity. Without warning. Clinging to things is the last thing we should ever want to do, knowing that most of those things will be done away with.
Our advice is that if you feel something from this Discussion Board should be preserved, for whatever reason, please do so. Don't put it off, thinking you can get to it tomorrow.
While we try to ensure that the site remains online, functional, and reliable, we cannot make any guarantees. Ever.
In the meantime, we hope that everyone sees this as an opportunity to give the DB a new start, and may you glorify Jehovah's name with all you say and do.
