Good Morning All,

Can someone help me find out how I can quote part of a response without including the whole thing? For instance I want to respond to a post by "John" and quote a sentence or paragraph from "John's" earlier post but I don't want to quote his entire post. I hope I'm making sense. I see it done all the time but when I try I end up quoting the entire post instead of the couple of sentences or paragraph I really want. Also how can I see all of the posts or replys that I or anyone has made. I tried clicking on the names but didn't find anything. I guess it's user error! :D

Delete the text and leave the rest (what text you need), make sure the quotation marks at the top and bottom are still in place

In the image below, note the highlighted text:

The easiest way to quote another poster is to place the QUOTE code around it.

Place (without spaces, but including brackets):

[ quote ]

BEFORE what you want to quote.

Then place (without spaces, but including brackets):

[ /quote ]

at the END of what you want to quote. In the picture above, there is more coding after the bracket quote command, but you do not need it, really. What is important is the QUOTE code itself, placed inside the brackets ( [ and ] ).

Again: To start the QUOTE, just place the word quote inside brackets ([ and ]) where you want to begin quoting the person, and then to end the quote, place /quote (NOTE: with the slash, to mark END) inside brackets ([ and ]) after the end of what you want to quote.

Anything that you are not quoting or that you do not want to include in your reply, simply delete.

Hope this helps.
