last night when I got off of work I spoke with my bro. He informed me that certain members in the family suspects that im UMmmm......APOSTATE. Remind you that im 3rd generation JW. This information hit me like a hot bullet. I have no idea how or why they arrived at this conclusion. They have no idea of this site or my involvment with it only my brother and he absalutely love this site. My aunt just moved into my area code recently and he told me that my mother suspects that she has something to do with this...but the thing is...I never talked to my aunt except once or twice.

She called me and told me that she was very upset about how some of the elders treat her...that she told them she was new to the area and needed help finding her way around and such. I told her that even though im d'fed, that I would love to be a source of support in any way I can. I dont know. its all very strange as to what led to them concludeing that im the Big "A" very upsetting.

We are all apostates here Littlevalue, prayerfully not apostates against Jehovah, but apostates against the department of weeds at Bethel HQ

Hi LV

Even though it hurts for a minute, I understand. You are created in Jehovah's image and Jehovah cares deeply and loves LV so very much.

I was compared to Satan the Devil and called an evil apostate. But that is okey dokey, I know that is not who Jehovah says I am. I am a happy child of my Father Jehovah and he loves me very much. Matthew 5

Not one of the folks labelling us knows what their circumstances will be from minute to minute. They can be up one minute and down the next.

Know what LV, I don't pay any attention to negative talk, etc. anymore, if it is something I feel needs to be addressed, then I take care of it, otherwise I just let people act out, sooner or later, what they are will become evident to everyone anyways. However, it took some time to ARRIVE at this stage of my spiritual walk with Jehovah. But now that I have, I just don't have the time, to be upset by other people's negative thoughts about me. I just refuse to accept anything that does not identify me as who I know I am, PERIOD.

THOSE NEGATIVE TALKERS HAVE A PROBLEM LV, YOU DO NOT unless you allow THEIR PROBLEM TO BECOME YOUR PROBLEM. OKEY DOKEY. Auntie and anyone else name calling you should review:

1 Timothy 5:13 At the same time also they learn to be unoccupied, GADDING about to the houses; yes, not only unoccupied, but also GOSSIPERS and MEDDLERS in OTHER PEOPLE'S AFFAIRS, TALKING of things they ought not.

1Cor 10:12 Consequently, let him that THINKS he is standing, BEWARE that he does not FALL.

I know you will continue to pray for those speaking abusively of you asking Jehovah to help them as he has helped you understand why they do what they do. Keep em up in prayer Jehovah may open Auntie's eyes as well as your other family members if they buy into negative talk Satan is using to discourage you to lose YOUR FOCUS. Don't buy into this OKEY DOKEY LV.

HOLD ON TIGHT OKEY DOKEY

Love to you and your family

Hi LV

Well that answers my question about your brother, that's great news.

It'll be a good thing for them in the end, that you're learning what you're learning here and at e-W. You'll be the only calm and rational one when they're going off the deep end after the House of Cards comes down in Brooklyn.

If you have said one thing at all against the society or disagreed with anything from the w/t they will consider you a potential apostate. :icon_twisted:
You must understand to say anything you place you're self in a position of getting an elder call. :fight.sml:
Just say nothing and enjoy the open mindness and freedom that this sane site gives you. :matx5:

I understand how you feel. My daughter is a newly baptized Jehovah's Witness. All the time, I hear the witnesses tell her that she needs to move out once she turns 18 ( in four months). My daughter gets confused, but she knows why we are all here. She listens to me and understands we are here because Jehovah saw something in us to make us see what is going on. The potter tells the clay what to do, the clay doesn't tell the potter. I know it is discouraging, but hang in there. :dontknow:

Hi scriptures,

The word "apostate" occurs 7 times in the New World Translation, and it comes from the Hebrew
H2611
חנף
chânêph
khaw-nafe'
From H2610; soiled (that is, with sin), impious: - hypocrite (-ical).

This has been translated in other versions as "those who forget God", "those who turn away from God", "godless", "the ungodly", "hypocrites", "evildoers", "worthless friends".

Edited in: Sorry, it occurs 11 times, 7 times in the book of Job.

i get the feeling that the scriptures in Job are speaking of Godless ones, those who reject Jehovah

Job 17:8 Those who claim to be honest are shocked, and they all condemn me as godless (apostate - nwt) (GNB) sounds like the wto to me - this scripture is Job speaking

Job 20:5 - no wicked people have been happy for long - GNB

Job 27:8 What hope is there for the godless in the hour when God demands their life? - GNB

Job 34:30 There would be nothing that nations cold do to keep godless oppressors from ruling them. - GNB

Job 36:13 Those who are godless keep on being angry and even when punished, they dont pray for help - GNB

Proverbs 11:9 You can be ruined by the talk of godless people, but the wisdom of the righteous can save you. LGNB

Isaiah 10:6 I sent Assyria to attach a godless nation, peole who have made me angry. i sent them to loot and steal and trample on the people like dirt in the streets - GNB

the Good New Bible makes more sense to my brain

the NWT makes a marginal note for Job 8:13 Thus are the pathways of all those forgetting God, And the very hope of an apostate* will perish, <div align="left"> </div>

Or may be you or your brother many have said something in front of someone that may have given them that thought and then they ran with it.What ever the case, I&#39;m sorry for you, and hope things don&#39;t get nasty.

An apostate the bible talks about when not only do they leave the teachings they beat their fellow slaves.

I think it is a different thing to have doubts, than to come on forums and abuse JW, I have seen that on many forums, the endless mindless JW bashing, especially from those that were once associated, they turn with so much hatred of not just the WTS but the brothers, it really is evil. I think of (Romans 1:18,19) For God&#39;s wrath is being revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who are suppressing the truth in an unrighteous way,(19) because what may be known about God is manifest among them, for God made it manifest to them.

I think with the problems with God&#39;s organization is to be expected, the truth does have enemies within. but really what man has anything to fear if they are truly loving Jehovah obeying him. We will be put to the test in ways we probably never imagined, but it will be for our obedience to Jehovah&#39;s sovereignty.

I find this scripture spirited. (Psalms 119:46) I will also speak about your reminders in front of kings, And I shall not be ashamed.

Our dear brother and sisters some who maybe fleshly relatives will need our encouragement and help when the so and so hits the fan. Hang in there. :Zwarte Roos:

All the best
