I just have a question for Admin. I noticed the Watchtower Study has only been posted twice since mid-August. I also noticed that the picture link to the Watchtower Study from the upper right corner of the Forum homepage has been removed. I know Admin have been quite busy with the new e-w mainpage and the site overhaul. But I was just wondering, is the WT Study was going to be coming back online or is that not going to be provided by Admin any longer?

I want to thank you both, Robert and Timothy, for your hard work and diligence. I pray that Jehovah may continue to bless your efforts.

It may have been overlooked in the other topic I responded to, so I'll reiterate what I said there, as this is a fresh topic, and add some thoughts in the process.

During the time which I needed to devote my efforts to the e-watchman.com revamp, I left it to anyone else to post copies of their Watchtower Study articles. I was surprised, to say the least, that nobody did so during the entire time that I didn't post them. I posted the Watchtower Study article a couple weeks ago, but again, since then nobody has taken the time to provide you or any other interested person with the articles.

We are blessed to have James committing time to posting the daily text for everyone,
but nobody seems willing to do the same for the Watchtower Study articles?

Out of the 100 (give or take) registered members, there is not a single person who is willing to do this for others?

I have to admit that it causes me consternation. I have no problem posting the articles for others, but I'd hate to think that some might be coming to depend on this site to be their source for the Watchtower Study articles, when it isn't. Robert has always encouraged the friends to continue to endure the meetings through attendance and association, and certainly the Watchtower Study article will be made available to you when you attend the meetings, even if in some congregations they go around and collect the magazines afterwards.

In some cases, there are those of us who are unequivocally UNwelcome at the meetings because of our being in a disfellowshipped state, although we may yearn to attend the meetings and be with our brothers and sisters.

But that is not the situation with everyone here.

There are those who have decided to not attend the meetings for certain reasons--yet want to continue to have access to the very information which they distressed over while attending. That, in my opinion, makes no sense. It makes no sense to decide to leave, yet want to keep getting the information you consciously left.

There are also those who have decided to not associate with others in the organization because of doctrinal differences and changed views or understandings. But again, it makes no sense to--after ceasing association--continue to want access to the Watchtower Study articles that drove you from the organization in the first place.

Not wanting or making a conscious decision not to go to the meetings, yet wanting to have the information you'd receive while at the meetings is enough to indicate you need to get to the meetings. Otherwise, you're "wanting your cake and eating it too" as the saying goes.

Whatever the reason you (speaking to everyone reading this) have for wanting access to the Watchtower Study articles, you need to remember that someone had to go to the meetings and remain in the organization in order to provide the articles for you to have here at the Discussion Board, you, who in the majority of cases made a conscious decision not to go to the meetings or remain in the organization in order to continue to get the magazines. It is, in my opinion, rather selfish of anyone who thinks or expects that they should have access to the literature without the associated self-sacrifice of longsuffering and endurance of sitting through the meetings and organizational association ("I'm not going to go to the meetings or continue in my association with Jehovah's Witnesses, but I want to keep getting and or reading the Watchtower (to see what they're saying these days)." "I can get them from the Discussion Board, so why should *I* have to suffer through the meetings to get the articles?" i.e.).

As I said before, I do not have a problem with posting the articles. But I do have concerns with people adopting the idea that you can just get the articles from here with little or no real appreciation for the effort that someone else put forth to make the meetings in order to obtain the literature because you didn't go to the Kingdom Hall yourself. This Discussion Board is absolutely NOT a substitute for making the meetings and obtaining the literature that you are desiring, and anyone who thinks otherwise is mistaken. If an article gets posted, wonderful. If not, what are you doing to step up to the plate and sharing yours? Are you making the effort to attend the meetings and get the magazines? Or are you expecting others to do it for you?

In the same vein, it is very discouraging to me to not see anyone else making the effort to post the articles when I am not or cannot, especially given the large number of people here. I, quite frankly, have a hard time believing that not a single person here gets the Watchtower Study magazines and therefore not a single person apart from myself can post the articles for others who may not be able to get them but are desirous of association with the friends.

In closing, I do want to let everyone know that even if the visual copy of the Watchtower Study article is not posted, the Watchtower Society does provide you with audio version of the articles (http://www.jw.org/).

Amen, brother Admin/Timothy.

Words well spoken. Yes, you are correct, this is OUR discussion board that you and brother Robert have so generously provided with your time, energy and finances.

While I take no authorship of the daily text, I do think it is one of the best features of the WTBTS, and it starts my day with a reflection on spiritual thoughts.

My accolades go to Jinnvisible, for tirelessly commenting on the text from the bible or the WT slant on it.

I would be happy to volunteer to post the WT Study issue.

The daily text and commentary is a great idea. Thanks James, I think little things like that wil be missed when the WTBTS hits the iceburg. As for the WT study its hard to figure out who a person is who loves the WT study yet doesn`t like associating generally. Its either satan or a bethelite, I can`t fathom it. Posting it could be a good thing, not fixing policy on it or gauranteeing regularity might be good also. Isaiah talks about the drunkards of Ephrahim, the leaders caught up with the idea of themselves in the intoxicating euphoric knowedge of Jehovah`s purpose. They should fix salloon doors to Brooklyn bethel, it will hurt less getting kicked through them backwards when the owner returns.

Thank you administrator for your valuable time in providing this site.
I for one appreciate what is provided here by this site to discuss and communicate Bible Truths and James I do appreciate your efforts with the daily text. All this is a bonus for me, as well as fellowship in a virtual sense is of benefit to us all. If someone provides the watchtower to us to study then this is a bonus to us and also appreciated.

Sincerely from FutureMan
