Dear Friends,

Here's a beautiful translation of these two chapters in Revelation from the original Greek, and I thought you might enjoy them.

Love,

Steadfast

<div align="center">Revelation 21</div>
Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth perished and there was no more sea. Revelation 21:2 And I, John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Revelation 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tent of God [is] with men, and he will dwell with them and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them [and be] their God. Revelation 21:4 And God will wipe away all tears from their eyes and there will be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither will there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away. Revelation

21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said to me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. Revelation 21:6 And he said to me, It is done – the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to him that is thirsty the fountain of the water of life freely. Revelation 21:7 He that overcomes shall inherit all things and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the detestable, and murderers, and harlots, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone which is the second death. Revelation 21:9 And one of the seven angels came to me which had the seven bowls full of the seven last calamaties, and talked with me saying, Come here, I will show you the bride, the Lamb&#39;s wife.

Revelation 21:10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, Revelation 21:11 Having the glory of God. Her brilliance [was] like a most precious stone, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal, Revelation 21:12 Having a wall great and high, having twelve gates, and upon the gates twelve angels, and the names written thereon are of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel,

Revelation 21:13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates. Revelation 21:14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. Revelation 21:15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city and the gates thereof and the wall thereof.

Revelation 21:16 And the city had four corners, and the length is as large as the width, and he measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the width and the height of it are equal. Revelation 21:17 And he measured the wall thereof, a hundred forty four cubits, [according to] the measure of a man, which is by an angel.

Revelation 21:18 And the edifice of her wall was jasper and the city pure gold, like clear glass. Revelation 21:19 And the foundations of the wall of the city was adorned with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation [was] jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; Revelation 21:20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.

Revelation 21:21 And the twelve gates [were] twelve pearls, and every gate was one pearl, and the square of the city [was] pure gold, like transparent glass. Revelation 21:22 And I saw no temple in her for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb is her temple, Revelation 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun or the moon to shine forth in her daily for the glory of God gives her light and her lamp is the Lamb.

Revelation 21:24 And the nations that are healed will walk by her light and the kings of the earth will bring their glory and honor to her. Revelation 21:25 And her gates will not be shut daily for there will is no night there. Revelation 21:26 And they will bring the glory and honor of the nations to her. Revelation 21:27 And in no way will anything unclean, or committing idolatry, or a lie, enter into her, but only those written in the Lamb&#39;s book of life.

<div align="center">Revelation 22</div>
Revelation 22:1 And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. Revelation 22:2 In the midst of her square, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life producing twelve fruits, yielding its fruit every month, and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Revelation 22:3 And there will be no more curse, and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in her and his slaves will serve him, Revelation 22:4 And they will see his face and his name is upon their foreheads. Revelation 22:5 And there will be no night there, and they have no need of a lamp and the light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light and they shall reign for ever and ever.

Revelation 22:6 And he said to me, These words are trustworthy and true, and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to show to his slaves the things which must take place mightily. Revelation 22:7 Behold, I come soon! Blessed is he that keeps the words of the prophecy of this scroll.

Revelation 22:8 And I John am the one seeing and hearing these things. And when I had heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel showing me these things. Revelation 22:9 And he said to me: See that do you not, for I am your fellowservant, and of your brothers the prophets, and the ones giving heed to the words of this scroll. Worship God!

Revelation 22:10 And he said to me, You should not set a seal on the words of the prophecy of this scroll, for the time is near. Revelation 22:11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still. And the filthy one, let him be filthy still, and the righteous one, let him do righteousness still, and the [consecrated] holy one, let him be sanctified still.

Revelation 22:12 Behold, I come without hesitating, and my wage is with me to give every man according to his labor. Revelation 22:13 I am the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Revelation 22:14 Blessed are the ones observing his commandments, that they may have the privilege to the tree of life and may enter through the gates into the city.

Revelation 22:15 Outside are dogs, and sorcerers, and harlots, and murderers, and idolaters, and everyone fond of commiting a lie. Revelation 22:16 I Jesus sent forth my angel to you to testify these things to the ekklesias. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright early-morning star.

Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And the one hearing say, Come. And the one thirsting, let come! The one wanting, take water of life without charge! Revelation 22:18 For I bear witness to everyone hearing the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone should add upon these, the calamaties of God will take place upon him that are written in this scroll.

Revelation 22:19 And if any one shall remove from the words of the scroll of this prophecy, may God remove his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, of the things having been written in this scroll, Revelation 22:20 Says the one testifying this things. Yes I come soon! Amen, Yes! Come O Lord Jesus. Revelation 22:21 The favor of our Lord Jesus Christ be with all the [consecrated] holy ones. Amen.

What Ive always like is Rev 21:4. Its seems to contradict itself, but its says the reasons for tears will be gone...thus"there will be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying" but it also says "And God will wipe away all tears from their eyes "..NOT stop the tears, but during that time a great many tears will be shed (grieving for things from the past) and Jah will wipe those tears away...as if HE is wiping these from our eyes. He is not stoping the tears, but wiping them away somehow.

So for me its 2 really important things. Things that have happened to us that He will help us to grieve about, which will include the need to allow ourselves to cry. BUT Jah will in some way show His incredible compassion and tenderness and wipe these tears away from our eyes. I think there have been some terrible things happen to people that have been hid away inside themselves because its just too painfull to face. But Jah in some way...like its coming from Him...will allow us to deal with these issues..and He WILL wipe those tears from our eyes. Such a tender person is Jah ! JD.

I know how you feel ! But another part of grieving that Jah will share with us is that He will validate to us that the pains we have felt...and the sorrow we felt.. WERE REAL PAINS AND INJURIES...not imagined.

So often others dont understand our pain. When we sence this,we dont share them. We feel we cant...and why would/should we... but during this time of grieving Jah will make it very clear to us that what we went through WAS WRONG...no matter who did it including those who say they are used by God. To know that He really acknowledges these events as trully wrong will make a great differance to those who have suffered.

At the moment, speaking for myself,I know what happened to me was wrong, even though its taken many years to come to terms with these crimes against me and see them as wrong...even though i knew they were wrong at the time. It takes times to work past the pain of the event and then see what was really going on. At first, its just about the pain. We know they are wrong, but we have doubts to some degree because they were committed by "supposed wise ones".

But not so in the time where Jah will be the one wiping the tears from our eyes. He knows what happened was wrong and He will be on our side. To have Him in some way tell us it was wrong will go a long way to help in the grieving process. To hear Him say it was wrong will mean so much to those hurt for the wrong reason. And for us to hear Him say how it pained Him to see these wrongs against us will tell us just how wrong these events were. To know that He acknowledges and also felt those sorrows will really help. What a time of healing it will be !! JD

Thanks Steadfast for those lovely scriptures

Wow Jahsdisciple - you make some very deep comments - i really appreciate them

acknowledgement - is a great word - it is so important in the healing process and gives us validation for our thoughts and feelings which gives us confidence in ourselves

what amazes me is how the people in the wto brush aside so easily injustice, unfairness - it must be a safty in numbers thing - i suppose a good example of that is Hitler&#39;s Germany - ordinary loving people bought into the Hitler dogma and turned on their fellow citizens and neighbors and blinded their eyes to what was really happening - its a disturbing example of how people can be lead by authoritarian leaders into doing or ignoring injustice

Billy,
thanks for that wonderfull compliment. Sometimes I wonder if people understand me...so its good to know you do !

I think most brush aside injustice and unfairness because they think if things like this happen they arent worth sticking up for themselves...their value isnt strong enough in their minds that they are worth sticking up for. So if it happens to others...well we should just put up with it since we dont deserve any better anyway.

This is my biggest problem...that most people think this and that this is perpetuated &#39;there&#39;. Thats why i detest and loath the unloving translation of the word "undeserved kindness". It implies so many unloving things toward those valued by Jah.

You couldnt get a more blatent example of having no clue about love and our personal worth than saying this word should be in any bible. Thats why its really hard for me to open the NWT. It denies any knowledge of people still having worth.

"we have value because God loves us" is their reasoning.. BUT, Jah loves us because we have value...thats the truth of why He loves us

If our worth was acknowledged by such scriptures as Psa 8,then anything that was unjust would be dealt with differantly. We have such incredible value and if this value was put down in any way in others or ourselves, then the actions that would follow would reflect that. So thats my understanding of why this happens. If people knew their REAL value,so many of these types of unloving things just would not happen.

Its a poor example, but if we saw some incredible piece of artwork made by a really well known and revered artist being spat upon or was threatened by an act that would diminish its values...we would immediatly take action, jump to its defence since the artist was not there.

Well, we are the reflection of the most incredible artist ever, and if we saw that we still are a reflection of that wonderful artist and so are others...and if we saw that value being put in jeopardy...we would jump to its defence in the blink of an eye. But if we dont see it,then why would we do anything ?

Jah still sees it and thats why He sent his son...it was why JC was soo willing to die for it...to save us so this value wouldnt be lost because adam squandered that value and didnt appreciate it. To me,if both these people went to such lengths, then what must my value be ? Almost beyond measure if these 2 were so willing to sacrifice so much because of whats inside us. That makes me feel very special and it makes everyone else very special also. If we have Jahs and JCs view, then we act according to the knowledge of the value we have...the same value that others have. We are still a reflection of the greatest artist. JD.
