I think a lot of people may have missed this little snippet that hit CNN yesterday, so I will post it here for you to read. I found it quite interesting. Yet maybe unbelivably believable.

Pat Robertson: God told me of 'mass killing' in 2007

VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia (AP) -- Evangelical broadcaster Pat Robertson said Tuesday that God has told him that a terrorist attack on the United States would cause a "mass killing" late in 2007.

"I'm not necessarily saying it's going to be nuclear," he said during his news-and-talk television show "The 700 Club" on the Christian Broadcasting Network.

"The Lord didn't say nuclear. But I do believe it will be something like that."

Robertson said God told him about the impending tragedy during a recent prayer retreat.

God also said, he claims, that major cities and possibly millions of people will be affected by the attack, which should take place sometime after September.

Robertson suggested in January 2006 that God punished then-Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon with a stroke for ceding Israeli-controlled land to the Palestinians.

The broadcaster predicted in January 2004 that President Bush would easily win re-election.

Bush won 51 percent of the vote that fall, beating Democratic Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts.

In 2005 Robertson predicted that Bush would have victory after victory in his second term. He said Social Security reform proposals would be approved and Bush would nominate conservative judges to federal courts.

Lawmakers confirmed Bush's 2005 nominations of John Roberts and Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court. But the president's Social Security initiative was stalled.

"I have a relatively good track record," he said. "Sometimes I miss."

In May, Robertson said God told him that storms and possibly a tsunami were to crash into America's coastline in 2006.

Even though the U.S. was not hit with a tsunami, Robertson on Tuesday cited last spring's heavy rains and flooding in New England as partly fulfilling the prediction.[/b]

Now a question : Has Jehovah in the past used anyone to fortell doom on people by someone who wasn't a follower of Him?

Seems like just another example of satan trying to turn himself, and his leaders of faith into people of light.

He has connections with the powers to be, that seem to be losing power very quickly, and he also knows of the things Watchman has discusssed here on this form for years now. After all, Patty boy has a fleet of people keeping tabs on things happening around the world on the internet, and with other leaders.

OOPS! Did I just call him a name? I hope I don't get booted from here, now that the new rules are in place. My luck #1 has his finger on the button.

Now a question : Has Jehovah in the past used anyone to fortell doom on people by someone who wasn't a follower of Him?[/b]

“In case a prophet or a dreamer of a dream arises in your midst and does give you a sign or a portent, 2*and the sign or the portent does come true of which he spoke to you, saying, ‘Let us walk after other gods, whom you have not known, and let us serve them,’ 3*you must not listen to the words of that prophet or to the dreamer of that dream, because Jehovah YOUR God is testing YOU to know whether YOU are loving Jehovah YOUR God with all YOUR heart and all YOUR soul. 4*After Jehovah YOUR God YOU should walk, and him YOU should fear, and his commandments YOU should keep, and to his voice YOU should listen, and him YOU should serve, and to him YOU should cling. 5*And that prophet or that dreamer of the dream should be put to death, because he has spoken of revolt against Jehovah YOUR God, who has brought YOU out of the land of Egypt and has redeemed you from the house of slaves, to turn you from the way in which Jehovah your God has commanded you to walk; and you must clear out what is evil from your midst. (Deut. 13:1-5)

And it happened that as we were going to the place of prayer, a certain servant girl with a spirit, a demon of divination, met us. She used to furnish her masters with much gain by practicing the art of prediction. 17*This [girl] kept following Paul and us and crying out with the words: “These men are slaves of the Most High God, who are publishing to YOU the way of salvation.” 18*This she kept doing for many days. Finally Paul got tired of it and turned and said to the spirit: “I order you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And it came out that very hour. (Acts 16:16-18)

“Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. 22*Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ 23*And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew YOU! Get away from me, YOU workers of lawlessness. (Matt. 7:21-23)

10*Then, also, many will be stumbled and will betray one another and will hate one another. 11*And many false prophets will arise and mislead many; (Matt. 24:10-11)

Is the question really whether Jehovah uses people who are not dedicated to Him, to foretell doom? Is it not far more vital that we be reminded of the need for vigilance on our part, because Jesus warned that there would be those who could make predictions (even accurately), but that their intent was to "mislead many."

My problem with this? Here:

Evangelical broadcaster Pat Robertson said Tuesday that God has told him that a terrorist attack on the United States would cause a "mass killing" late in 2007. "The Lord didn't say nuclear. But I do believe it will be something like that." Robertson said God told him about the impending tragedy during a recent prayer retreat. God also said, he claims, that major cities and possibly millions of people will be affected by the attack, which should take place sometime after September.[/b]And then we hear:

"I have a relatively good track record," he said. "Sometimes I miss."[/b]

Good grief, which is it? Either God told you something, or you're just making something up. Jehovah doesn't have a "relatively good track record." God doesn't "miss."

Hello folks! B)

Wow! It's good to be back.

I really don't know much about Pat Robertson - but what I can say is that time will tell if his predictions come true. Even if they do come true, that doesn't necessarily mean that 'God is with him.'

Pat Robertson is a total nutjob.

Maybe my question about whether Jehovah uses others also to prophesize may have been confusing. I was thinking on the lines of Balaam and how he was supposed to curse Israel, but instead was inspired by God he praised them. Some historians believe he was not an Israelite.

I am not saying that Jehovah is using Pat Robertson. Far from it. But I do wonder if Jehovah will use others to prophesize. The scripture that comes to mind is the one where it says man woman and child will be used to prophesize. Then there is the scripture about false prophets that will come in among us.
