Administration

We are currently in the process of reviewing the e-watchman.tv website to make sure it is living up to expectations. What we need are volunteers to visit the site, who can then report back here. We are focusing on the VIDEOS exclusively right now. If you are on dial-up, you will NOT be able to properly view the site.
All we need from you are:
1. What web browser you used to visit the site (Internet Explorer 6/7/8; FireFox; Opera; Safari)
2. What speed is your internet? (most are 3mbps or higher)
3. Did the intro video play without pauses or stutters?
4. Did the Videos you watched play without pauses or stutters? If not, which video(s) did you view that did not play well?
5. Were there any other issues you experienced while visiting the site?
If you'd like to volunteer to report in, visit e-watchman.tv (http://e-watchman.tv)and then reply here.
Thank you for your assistance,
Administrator

Ok, I have AOL 9.0vr and went to the media site and just watched what would happen. I clicked on videos and the Just in the days of Noah started playing beautifully. Then suddenly at the point where it was explaining the how Jehovah separated the water on earth in the begininging to build a water canopy, bingo it suddenly without touching a thing, skipped to the next video, then the next one again settling on the third one down, then restarted the first one "Noah's" again form the begining. I have broadband 3mpbs.

Thanks Gib. By the way, where's Polly these days? Hope he hasn't flown the coup.
But seriously, peeps, I would like a little help here. I am mulling redoing the site, again, or perhaps shelling out hundreds for a dedicated server to stream the vids, or degrading the video quality or reducing the picture size. Your input will help us determine what needs to be done. It is not necessary to watch all the vids or even an entire video. Just let us know what happens during the first minute after loading the video page or clicking on a specific video, and the other specifics requested by the admin.
Much thanks

I might add, if anyone who is not a member of the forum would like to help us out with your observation just email me or the administrator. Thanks again

Firefox
2. What speed is your internet? (most are 3mbps or higher)
25mbps
3. Did the intro video play without pauses or stutters?
Yes
4. Did the Videos you watched play without pauses or stutters? If not, which video(s) did you view that did not play well?
First five videos stuttered and paused continuously. The Babylon video had stutters spaced far apart.
5. Were there any other issues you experienced while visiting the site?
I had lowered the volume to 40 on the the first video (Noah). The volume level was still at 40 when I clicked on the Babylon video, but it was a lot louder than the previous videos. I had to lower it to 10.

1. What web browser you used to visit the site (Internet Explorer 6/7/8; FireFox; Opera; Safari)
IE 6
2. What speed is your internet? (most are 3mbps or higher)
5.8 mbps
3. Did the intro video play without pauses or stutters?
It was stuttering.
4. Did the Videos you watched play without pauses or stutters? If not, which video(s) did you view that did not play well?
Just as in the days of Noah sticking for a couple of seconds at 20 - 60 second intervals and then playing smoothly.
The streaming of the other videos seemed similar. When they were playing all the quality was good.
5. Were there any other issues you experienced while visiting the site?
I felt like an idiot for not watching the "In the days of Noah" video before.

All of the videos except for the Noah Flood have been further compressed and placed on the server. For those of you who checked things out and reported back, could you do so now, with the re-finished videos?

Well...today my internet speed in 15 mbps. (???) anyways....
the graphics are still perfect, they flow very nicely, no jumps or stutters of and volume issues....but then...I was thinking....the graphics card on my computer is a "gaming" card, it has it's own memory to run off of. yadda yadda....not sure if that helps me or not while download video's off the internet. But it's still only as good as my download speed. So, I usually, when watching video's online, Pause them for about 20 seconds before I start playing them.....gives them a chance to download partially. Don't know if that actually works, that's just a habit I developed while I used dial up a few years ago, it DID help then.
I don't have much of a clue about internet speeds/computer sorftware. My Bro hooks me up. I go to the computer store and I tell him what I like and list off all the details and he tells me if it's a good deal for the money and good for what I want to do! LOL *loser*
If you don't know the speed of your internet....go to this site for the peeps in USA

Ok, I gave it another try.
Again, here in the old oil fields of Texas, with our new DSL I'm having a problem. We have here the slowest speed of DSL available. I checked the speed on the speed test mentioned by another poster and my download speed is in the 1300kbps area. I'm using a HP dv5163d Pavilion Media Center Notebook PC. I use AOL 9.0VR to access to internet. After reading a change was made to 02-06 videos, I gave them a run.
02. played a little over 2 mins and then jumped to number 03.
03. played a little ober 2 mins and then jumped to 04.
04. played for a long time 10 mins almost then jumped to 05.
05. played entirely, and I want the music you used on this video.
06. Played 19 mins almost done then wamo it jumped to 01, then jumped immediately to 02. and started playing it.
They all played beautifully, stable, clear, sharp pictures, sounded excellent, I just can't get them to play all the way through with the exception of the memorial pictorial.
RRRRrraaaa, I want to download these onto DVD's so I can pirate them to me friends RRrrraaaa Whistle

It was so Admin
At the same spec I.E.6, My speed went down one `thing` from 5.8 to 5.7 mbps.
Films 02,03,04,05 & 06 played totally smooth without any decernible reduction in pic or sound quality. (they were doing the same as film 01 before)
Film 01 was exactly as it was before, freezeing at 20 sec - 60 sec intervals.
film 04 (the watchtower past present and [no] future) sounded like it has a very slight pop or click on the audio track ever 10 seconds or so, but it was very quiet, and the film didn`t freeze.
Also the introduction page with the mxing desk and other gubbins, the introduction page that says `enter` at the bottom. That little intro thing is freezing, poping and jammin like crazy.

Ok, I figured out how to log in on firefox. ( no small feet here) lol I was directed to upgrade my adobe, and did so. The intro was just as Jinn explained broken up. So, I noticed my realplayer asking me if I wanted to download. I did download, and it plays just fine. I went back to my AOL>9.0vr and played the intro, and it wasn't so broken up, but it did stop and start one time near the finish. I hope this helps
I was able to download the intro, 01, 04 with no problems onto my realplayer. Now, if I can just figure out how to mass produce them, and distribute to the masses. RRRRrrraaa Whistle!

It doesn't seem consistent anyway you play the site. I think it is a problem with so many computers with different operating systems, pop up blockers, virus software, internet providers, and who knows maybe uncle sam is monitoring things and causing a problem. Downloading and then playing is the best way, so far. They really are super informative, powerful, strikingly different from anything out there. I think everyone done a super good job putting these all together.

2nd test
1. What web browser you used to visit the site (Internet Explorer 6/7/8; FireFox; Opera; Safari)
Firefox
2. What speed is your internet? (most are 3mbps or higher)
26mbps
3. Did the intro video play without pauses or stutters?
No
4. Did the Videos you watched play without pauses or stutters? If not, which video(s) did you view that did not play well?
This time all the videos played smoothly for the most part. There were visible pauses in the videos (all 6) but no accompanying audible pause or stutter. There was a noticeable stutter (sound and video) towards the end of #4.
5. Were there any other issues you experienced while visiting the site?
No
