Partaking of the Emblems
The following scriptures present some interesting insight into their meaning when we look at the original language:
1 Corinthians 11:27 (NWT) – Consequently whoever eats the loaf or drinks the cup of the Lord unworthily will be guilty respecting the body and the blood of the Lord.
1 Corinthians 11:29 (NWT) – For he that eats and drinks eats and drinks judgment against himself if he does not discern the body.
Anaxios 371 (Adverb from G370; irreverently: - unworthily.)

in an unworthy manner
1 Corinthians 11:27 – Wherefore5620 whosoever3739, 302 shall eat2068 this5126 bread,740 and2228 drink4095 this cup4221 of the3588 Lord,2962 unworthily,371 (anaxios) shall be2071 guilty1777 of the3588 body4983 and2532 blood129 of the3588 Lord.2962
1 Corinthians 11:27 (KJ) - Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily (anaxios), shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
1 Corinthians 11:29 – For1063 he that eateth2068 and2532 drinketh4095 unworthily,371 (anaxios) eateth2068 and2532 drinketh4095 damnation2917 to himself,1438 not3361 discerning1252 the3588 Lord's2962 body.4983
1 Corinthians 11:29 (KJ) - For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily (anaxios), eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.
My comment: The above-cited scriptures are the only ones in the Bible to use anaxios #371.
My comment: Anaxios is taken from the root word # 370 which gives a little more insight into the direction of the meaning of #371:
Anaxios 370 (From G1 (as a negative particle) and G514; unfit: - unworthy)
From:
http://www.studylight.org/lex/grk/view.cgi?number=370
unworthy, unfit for a thing
My comment: Here is the only other scripture using word anaxios #370:
1 Corinthians 6:2 ( KJ) – Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
My comment: Another interesting word is krima used in 1 Corinthians 11:29:
Krima 2917
