Dear Friends,
I don't know about you, but when I first started to really study Revelation, it was very confusing to say the least. I knew that WTs interpretation of it was totally wrong, so I basically started over.
The conclusion that I have come to is that while Revelation marches from the beginning of Christianity in the first century to the end of the Millenium, some of the same information was highlighted in different chapters.
Here is an outline I did to try and explain to myself, some of the seeming contractions and out-of-place timing that made Revelation so difficult to put together. I'm still in this process and may never finish it, but I do think that Jehovah gave this last prophecy so that we would spend 2,000 years trying to figure it out. :38786-6:

Chapter 1 – Introduction to the vision of John
(Vision is ongoing since first century as seen in Revelation 1:19 – "Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be after this.")
Chapters 2-3 – Review of the congregations since first century.
(While literal, the names and descriptions can be seen in the details of succeeding church ages including the order of their appearance.)
Chapters 4-5 – The heavenly unveiling/Enthronement of Jesus Christ – Pretrib.

Chapter 12 – From the birth of the Kingdom sealing to Satan's casting out.
Chapter 13 – Birth/Rule of the one world government – false prophet religion.
Chapter 14 – Sealing of the 144,000 to Armageddon.
Chapters 15-16 – Armageddon
Chapter 17 – Goes with Revelation 13 to explain the history of Babylon as a beast.
Chapter 18 – Impending destruction of Babel the Great.
(Revelation 18:4 – Final call – God's people called out of their captivity, includes remaining sons of Israel – great crowd)
Chapter 19 – Armageddon
Chapter 20 – Post Armageddon to Millenium end
Chapter 21 – Millenium
Chapter 22 – Millenium and final admonition to us.
