Hello pianoart65, and welcome to the forum.

Many on this forum are still associating with the congregations and some of us have been disfellowshiped and some have simply just left the organization of Jehovah's witnesses.

I appreciate your predicament, here is a scripture to refer to in Revelation chapter 12 which I have an idea might apply to us today.

12 Because of this, be glad, the heavens and those tabernacling in them. Woe to the ones dwelling on the earth, and in the sea, because the devil came down to you having great anger, knowing that he has a little time!
13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast out onto the earth, he pursued the woman who bore the male.
14 And two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, that she might fly into the wilderness, to her place, where she is nourished there a time, and times, and half a time, away from the serpent's face.

Now while I don't feel that this scriptures applies to us just yet, I do think that many Christians today have fled out into the spiritual wilderness today and are being fed spiritually by sites such as this one and the holy spirit through the study of God's Word.
Now just as out in the literal wilderness we might not know which food is good for us to eat, that grows out in the wild, it's the same with the spiritual wilderness.

Out in the literal wilderness we test everything by just having a little bit of a taste in our mouth before swallowing eat, just in case it is poisonous or not fit for human consumption.

The same applies in the spiritual wilderness.

1 John 4

. 24 Moreover, he who observes his commandments remains in union with him, and he in union with such one; and by this we gain the knowledge that he is remaining in union with us, owing to the spirit which he gave us.

4 Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired expression, but test the inspired expressions to see whether they originate with God, because many false prophets have gone forth into the world.

2 YOU gain the knowledge of the inspired expression from God by this: Every inspired expression that confesses Jesus Christ as having come in the flesh originates with God, 3 but every inspired expression that does not confess Jesus does not originate with God. Furthermore, this is the antichrist's [inspired expression] which YOU have heard was coming, and now it is already in the world.

Dear Futureman,

I think you will enjoy reading the two following verses : Ex19:4 and Deut32:10-12.

"Le sectarisme des jugements pauvres lui tenait quelquefois lieu de volonté" - Hervé Bazin
"J'ai pétri de la boue et j'en ai fait de l'or" - Charles Baudelaire
"S'il m'a été donné de voir un peu plus loin que les autres, c'est que je me tenais sur les épaules de géants" - Isaac Newton

Pianoart65,

Just reading your plea for help on the shout after I logged on broke my heart. For now all I can say is pray to Jehovah and ask him to help you understand John 14:6:

I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

I have to go now, but will be back on Monday. I sure do hope others will give you some kind words, encouragement and scriptures to help ease your pain.

I will say this to you though. I have been disfellowshipped and disassociated. I am now reinstated. It was a long, difficult road to travel down. ASK JEHOVAH TO HELP DIRECT YOU. You are here now on this site, that may not be just a coincidence. hmmmm? (smile)

Thanks Futureman - that was a really good illustration - i can relate so well

The Wts brainwashes the b&s to think if they dont go to meetings that one will loose their spiriturality - i have found this not the case -i do miss having association with like minded people - but then when i did go to meetings i found you were shunned anyway if you were honest and genuine- i miss going out witnessing - but then again there was usually no body home behind the doors anyway and a lot of tension within the car group as well - i believe our lifestyle has a very big witness to our neighbors and relatives - how we live clean moral loving lives says alot more than just mear words - Jesus didnt just talk - he acted and literally helped alot of people - by showing this love and concern for peoples physical, mental and spiritual well being attracted people to him - the wt uses the argument that if one helps people physically it will only attract users - they only show interest for what they may materially benefit from - if thats the case why did Jesus heal and feed people -

the bible also says we all have different gifts - the wts only recognizes the gift of preaching publically - all other gifts of love are downplayed
