Who is the "Wicked chieftain of Israel in time of the end" & why is he referred to as being "deadly wounded" ?

Consider if this is true, we would approach things differently in understanding the end times. Our understanding of anything depends on our preconceived beliefs. TS

I, too, think that the 1914 may well still be a significant date regarding the Kingdom (I also believe it might not). The first 100 years of a new heavenly administration can be stressful; there's a lot to put in order, especially when you have to physically remove approximately 1/3 of the population and confine it to a tiny planet.
Jesus could well have taken the throne in 1914 and still be wrapping up the cleansing of the heavens, for all we know. Point is, we don't know. More important point is, Jesus told us to keep awake and that's what we're doing, whether he's been wielding the scepter since 1914 or he's still getting ready to take it.

Jehovah, of course, has always been king. And Jesus has been king of God's kingdom since he was anointed and more especially since his return to heaven. So, the kingdom comes when Christ moves against the enemies of the kingdom. That's what the 2nd Psalm says: "Sit at my right hand until I place all of your enemies as a stool for your feet." So, the moment Christ moves to take out his enemies that can be declared to be the time when the kingdom asserts its authority and Jesus begins subduing in the midst of its enemies.
So, the question is, did Jesus subdue God's enemies in 1914? What evidence is there if that is what you believe? Common sense tells us that the enemies of truth and righteousness are more powerful today than in 1914, so, again, how has Christ exerted his kingship over his enemies?
Ezekiel 21:27 refers to the deadly wounded wicked chieftain of Judah taking off his crown when Nebuchadnezzar brought ruin, ruin, ruin to Jerusalem and the Judean kingdom. What is the modern counterpart to that event? Was Christendom brought to ruin in 1914? Obviously not. The modern parallel will be when Christ's holy ones are brought to ruin, as the 8th chapter of Daniel foretells. That will also be the beginning of the judgment of the house of God because it will serve as the means by which Christ will dominate over his enemies within his congregation, the evil slaves, also known as the man of lawlessness. He is the modern counterpart of the wicked chieftain who receives a mortal wound.

To the first question I would answer no, but he may have begun doing so.
To the second, none, other than the WTS-calculated timeline.
To the third, if he has begun to do so, (whether beginning in 1914 or some other year) it has only been heavenly so far, because his rule fairly clearly hasn't taken effect on earth yet.

again i'll be quick as having trouble posting
i have been wondering about this for sometime and i think it is relevant to this topic
as robert correctly says that psalm 2 indicates that christ sits down until he is told to go subduing
however in revelation we find that when Michael stands upo it is with the mission of throwing satan out of heaven which he does
but notably satan is given "a short period of time"
why?
to disrupt the holy ones.
my thoughts are
is it possible that in 1914 or slightly before satan was hurled to the earth
notably the bible students were forming and rediscovering bible doctrinal truths
and so in his great rage he intends to destroy them!
he plants the man of lawlessnes within them and performs signs to decieve them (wars and pestilence)
the MOL heralds them as the sign of the presence of christ
( really the invisible presence of satan)
so yes we have the Kingdom in heaven but as yet satan is being allowed to play his game
as Robert has shown us from scripture that the MOL will continue hidden within the temple of God proclaiming himself to be God ie the wto
until the true visible presence of Christ occurs and he cleanses the temple of Jehovah
and gathers the true sons of the kingdom.
