Maybe it’s just me, but does anybody else here find one of these pictures on the main web-page a little inappropriate?

My guess would be the little girl inviting you to have a 'personal' home bible study. The picture should include an adult, like maybe the mother or father?

My guess is it's the "How Can You Protect Your Children" pic showing a grown man with his arm around a little boy holding a Great Teacher book.

I guess that is what tonio is getting at.

From the WTBTS point of view a cute little young person is always going to be more appealing than the reality.

The reality is an older fellow. With eybrows so big and bushy you cannot tell where the frames of his eyeglases begin and the eyebrow ends. With frown lines so deep you could park your bicycle in them. With a dark suit and a neck tie acting as a girdle for the bulging neck muscles.

They probably had that photograph and said shall we use the eyebrow elder this time ? Lets use the cutie again.

Hello Anthony, and hello all.
The picture I find most inappropriate is actually right at the top, the "WATCHTOWER" logo.

From FutureMan.

Yes the pic with the little girl offering a home bible study. Why?
In the whole scheme of things and out of court settlements you'd think they had learnt. Why show a child, they cant conduct a study anyway, makes no logical sense what so ever.

Dear all,

That sentence used as a title is GREAT !

I have a kind of dark sense of humor, but I suppose it's better than some of the bitterness that seems to infest some folks. :icon_redface:

Please don't misunderstand. It was a general comment about the bitterness sometimes seen, aimed at no one poster in particular. I appreciate that Emma had the same sense of humor as I did. Go Emma! :ban_dance01:

I feel like I should clarify further. I'm not criticizing this board or its members. I chose to join this board because it was the least bitter and most loving and evenminded one I found.

What about the picture of the airplane? Is it Jehovahs purpose to report on the safety of flying? I think the HARD earned money of the brotherhood could be put to better use. Main stream media still reports it to be safe, more than automobiles. Besides, not many doing all they can in the congregation can afford to travel via aircraft, or automobile after service, assemblies, and regular meeting attendance costs. It may not be an offensive photo, but there certainly is much more real issues, in our world to cover, and be plain spoken about.

Did anyone mention old man Pervius from Gommorah, enticing young man Studius into his penthouse for a little wine, dates and some,,,dried nuts?

And don't forget Brother Bro there, teaching the teens on how to properly flash out new gang signals when going door-to-door in the 'hood,,,
