Let anyone who is being orally taught the word share in all good things with the one who gives such oral teaching.—Gal. 6:6.

The apostle Paul saw the need for training and preparing those of a younger generation, such as Timothy and Titus, to become effective ministers. (2 Tim. 2:2; 3:10, 14; Titus 1:4) Similarly, a pressing need to provide and receive training exists today. When new ones begin to associate with the Christian congregation and wish to share in the ministry, they need training and direction. It is vital that we use the methods of the Master, Jesus, in teaching and training disciples. Jesus did not just find a crowd and tell his apostles to start talking. He first emphasized the need for the preaching work and encouraged a prayerful attitude. Then he made three basic provisions: a partner, a territory assignment, and a message. (Matt. 9:35-38; 10:5-7; Mark 6:7; Luke 9:2, 6) We can do the same.

Today's text reminds me of how our Father and his Son, just don't do things to be doing them. When Adam & Eve messed up Jehovah put a plan of action into place immediately. He did not say hmmmm well I guess I will do this no, that's not good, perhaps I will do it this way.

Nope, Jehovah has a way of doing things that reflect favorably on Him and teaches us that he knows what he is doing and why. He also put a plan of action into place to make sure that he did not leave us out in the dark groping around trying to find our way.

Jehovah left us instructions in his Word on how to have a close relationship with him and how to help others do the same. He gave us all we need to know in order to do that work.

Today, there is a system in place Jehovah's people use (although not perfect, but it does get the work done) that is orderly. Regardless of how we may feel about reporting hours or knocking on doors, or anything else about the preaching activity today, it still gets Jehovah's work done.

So, imo if we stay focused on the end result of this teaching program in place today and that is of helping others to understand how Jehovah wants us to live and the love he has shown us by means of his son, the issues involved, and his purpose for mankind(and all else that is involved) we will bring honor and glory to our father and show that we really are truly grateful for all Jehovah has done for us and will do.

I agree with the statement in today's text "IT IS VITAL THAT WE USE THE METHODS OF THE MASTER, JESUS IN TEACHING AND TRAINING DISCIPLES."

We must totally rely on Jehovah today in light of what we know, asking him to show us ways to be FAITHFUL AND DISCREET while engaging in any form of this Preaching/Teaching Command.

Love out to us all as we HOLD ON TIGHT TO JEHOVAH AS HE DIRECTS OUR STEPS.

I really enjoyed today's text.

Thanks for the text Barry, and well said e&e.

Taking in all this knowledge would be pointless and extremely unrewarding if we did not take every opportunity to help others to see Jehovah's loving purposes for his Creation, and what he intends to do about our current plight. One day in the new system things will be different, but for now, this is our main purpose in living. And lo and behold, it brings a kind of happiness and satisfaction that nothing else seems to bring.

Have a great day

Lou
