Upon her forehead was written a name, a mystery: “Babylon the Great, the mother of the harlots and of the disgusting things of the earth.”—Rev. 17:5.

The Scriptural description of Babylon the Great fits the world’s collective body of false religion. (Rev. 17:1, 2, 6, 18) Although the thousands of religions are not formally united as one world organization, they are inseparably joined in purpose and deed. As depicted by the immoral woman in Revelation, false religion has prostituted herself by forming alliances with one political power after another. “Adulteresses, do you not know that the friendship with the world is enmity with God?” wrote the disciple James. (Jas. 4:4) This mixing of false religion with the governments has resulted in much human suffering. The lives of millions have been snuffed out in religiously supported conflicts. Babylon the Great has even persecuted and killed God’s true servants, becoming drunk with their blood, as it were.—Rev. 18:24. w 3/15/06 6-8a

I read an essay about the wild beast in Revelation and its relation with Babylon the Great.
There it is explained why the illustration of a harlot, holding a cup and the other things is very interesting.
If you go back to the history of Babylon, you can find out that the harlot could represent the wife of Nimrod, Semiramis.
The whole description in Revelation of the harlot fits with the rituals and history of Nimrods wife. And it is a good reference to the mystery religion of old Babylon.

Anytime anyone who belongs to Jehovah develops friendships that are in opposition to Jehovah and his purposes .... they are Jehovah's enemy. It will not go well for these ones.

As we get deeper into the end of this system of things, I pray we all pay attention, stayawake, stay on the watch, keep our relationship with Jehovah and his Son as strong as it can be, stay in Jehovah's word and STAY FOCUSED.

The minute we lose focus here comes the evil one planting doubts in our minds: PSSSSST hey, come here, listen (that is the first mistake listening to evil thoughts rather than dismissing them) he whispers deceptively planting doubts in minds... IS IT REALLY SO THAT YOU HAVE TO CONTINUE THIS PREACHING/TEACHING STUFF ABOUT THE KINGDOM? HEY DON'T WORRY, BE HAPPY, TAKE A LOAD OFF, RELAAAAAAX, BE GOOD TO YOURSELF YOU DESERVE IT.

HE PLANTS MORE DOUBTS WHISPERING: God knows this preaching work is done and you know it is not that important. Just let people live good lives and be kind to one another. yeah, that's it. It does not matter what faith people are, it is what is in the hearts that matters TRUST ME THAT IS ALL THAT IS IMPORTANT. GO AHEAD, YOU CAN REGISTER TO VOTE AND VOTE FOR HILLARY I'VE GOT GREAT THINGS IN STORE FOR HER (HE SMIRKS AND WINKS TO HIS DEMONIC CO-HORTS WITH A THUMBS UP) DON'T WORRY YOURSELF I'VE GOT BABLYLON THE GREAT UNDER MY CONTROL. You just slow down and if you do that I will offer you ________.

Make no mistake about it, we do not want to get involved with any enemies of God, religiously, politically or otherwise .

Came across an article 7/8/2000 which speaks of United Religions www.endtime.com and also read today how the Catholics, Lutherans, Episcopalians and Anglicans are trying to unite some aspects of their structure. Wonder how much time we have???????
