News Flash: The present American administration doesn't have to do a thing to create a collapse. The global financial system has already collapsed. It collapsed last summer. All they have to do to ensure that that the collapse becomes a catastrophe is nothing, and that is basically what they are doing--nothing. It is interesting to watch though.
California goes before the judgment seat of God next month. That is when their coffers officially become empty and they are forced to stop writing checks. I would not want to be living in L.A. when the cops stop patrolling the streets. The Terminator is doing his job--terminating the state. LOL.
Can you believe they are shutting down Big Sur? It is unbelievably stupid. Shutting off millions of tourist dollars.
The credit rating agencies will be forced to downgrade the Golden State to junk, which means, by law, pension funds and various other type funds cannot legally buy CA debt. That will trigger another round of credit default swap losses ala, AIG, etc. The next phase of the collapse will be much more vicious than round one. California may not literally slide off into the Pacific Ocean, but it certainly has the potential to create a massive Tsunami around the word if it goes into default.

I need a class in financial collapse 101, or financial system for dummies book. I just don't get it when it's said to have collapsed. I understand someone losing their job and not having the same income means hard times for that person...bills, house, rent, food,ect...but what does it mean when it comes to the dollar? All my money still buys all the same stuff and is worth the same. prices may rise like gas and food, but I still have money to pay even if it cost me a little more. and what about buying gold? when you buy gold aren't you paying in dollars for it? why would the ones selling gold want the cash if gold has the higher value?

the financial system and the economy are two different, but inseparably connected things--if that makes sense.
The global financial system is basically a debt buying scheme. The debts of individuals (mortgages credit cards--10's of thousands of $) and companies (stocks and bonds--millions of $) and nations (treasury bonds--billions of $) are all bought and sold and insured (credit default swaps--trillions of $) and bet upon in more exotic ways (derivatives--quadtrillions of $). That is the system that has collapsed. The debt-based casino just is not working like it used to. They are doing a great job of creating the illusion that it is, but wiser minds know it ain't. Will they blow the debt bubble up to a gazillion? Probably. And soon!
Did you read the story about the two Japanese fellows who were detained lugging a suitcase to Zurich with $135 billion in treasuries? The press has spun the story that the notes were counterfeit. Reality suggests that Japan was quietly trying to offload a truckload of US debt cause they know it is worthless. That's what the financial system is about these days. Not really about people. Just people buying and selling other people's increasingly worthless and unpayable debt.

That very well could be, tortas.
i remember looking up something recently and although this is not news, it is noteworthy as even Wikipedia points out.
<div align="center">The Roulette wheel
The first form of roulette was devised in 18th century France (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/France). Blaise Pascal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blaise_Pascal) introduced a primitive form of roulette in the 17th century in his search for a perpetual motion machine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perpetual_motion_machine). The roulette wheel is believed to be a fusion of the English wheel games Roly-Poly (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Roly-Poly_%28game%29&action=edit&redlink=1), Reiner (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reiner), Ace of Hearts (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ace_of_Hearts_%28game%29&action=edit&redlink=1), and E.O. (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=E.O.&action=edit&redlink=1), the Italian board games of Hoca and Biribi, and "Roulette" from an already existing French board game of that name.

Some call roulette the "King of Casino Games", probably because it was associated with the glamour of the casinos in Monte Carlo. A legend tells François Blanc supposedly bargained with the devil to obtain the secrets of roulette. The legend is based on the fact that the sum of all the numbers on the roulette wheel (from 1 to 36) is 666, which is the "Number of the Beast (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Number_of_the_Beast_%28numerology%29)[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roulette#cite_note-2)."

the future is looking a tad gloomy according to that artilce Futureman
i was listening to a local radio program today
they said that the 3 main powers running the western world were London (financies) Washington DC (military power) Vatican (Pope) and all three are seperate states from their countries and pay no taxes
the Rothchilds own and run the media - and we are only allowed to know what they allow us to know
the goal of the illuminati is to wipe out a large portion of the population and the use of chemicals in our water and food is to "dumb people down" to dull the piniary gland which they reckon the pope knows about because the pine cone is the symbol of this gland which is used by the catholic church which is a pagon symbol
he also brought out that many christians symbols are pagan and that christians need to look a bit deeper into where and what their symbals mean and he also brought out that theres a big difference between what christianity teaches and what Jesus taught
He also seemed to think saying amen after a prayer is another term for Amon the Egyptian diety
eating genetically modified GM food will proberbly alter our genentics
I dont often hear about these issues on the radio - most radio stations only report mainstream information - it should make people more aware of what forces are in play in current events

Of course, one can know that this is incorrect. Amen is the Hebrew word, and is not just a word standing alone (as if lifted from another language or source) but the root is grammatically related to other words in Hebrew.
As for the rest, very ugly and scary things.
Love,
Shira

I was hoping someone would comment on amen
I was thinking the same as you Shira
Sometimes people get carried away when trying to expose past pagan connections to Christianity - the Da Vinci Code did a good job of mixing truth and non truth - but i did appreciate the fact that it got people thinking - and to re examine what they believe in
