Hello everyone

Just a quick hello to give you an update on my affairs. As most of you know I have been working on an updated version of the Jehovah Himself Has Become King book, including a new audio version. I would have finished by now but I got whacked by hay fever and asthma early on in June and had to curtail recording 2 chapters shy of finishing the project. Then I had to travel back to the USA on family and personal business. We are also rethinking the book's website.

Because of these setbacks and distractions, and because Internet traffic typically falls off during the summer anyway, I decided to just hold off on the book release until things pick up again in September. A determining factor in my decision to postpone the book is that I need a break. I am working to rebuild my health, juicing, jogging and biking, trying to counteract years of sitting in a chair in front of a computer; trying to get back into fighting trim. But hopefully come September I will be back podcasting and blogging and producing videos.

Like you Robert i have to put my health first, starting to do cycling, stepping and healthy eating, without good health, we end up failing in all aspects of our lives. So yes what your doing is great, just easy on the knees while jogging. Looking forward to September :ban_dance02:

Generally speaking, miraculous revelations have been done away with. Not to say that Jehovah&#39;s Holy Spirit no longer helps individuals understand His purposes. It does, but at the end of the day we&#39;re left with Proverbs chapter 2:

Proverbs 2:1-22
1 My son, if you will receive my sayings and treasure up my own commandments with yourself, 2 so as to pay attention to wisdom with your ear, that you may incline your heart to discernment; 3 if, moreover, you call out for understanding itself and you give forth your voice for discernment itself, 4 if you keep seeking for it as for silver, and as for hid treasures you keep searching for it, 5 in that case you will understand the fear of Jehovah, and you will find the very knowledge of God. 6 For Jehovah himself gives wisdom; out of his mouth there are knowledge and discernment. 7 And for the upright ones he will treasure up practical wisdom; for those walking in integrity he is a shield, 8 by observing the paths of judgment, and he will guard the very way of his loyal ones. 9 In that case you will understand righteousness and judgment and uprightness, the entire course of what is good.[/b]

Want to understand what it all means? Prayer, study of the Bible, discussions like we have here, more prayer, more study, more discussion, and throughout it all a lot of patience.

One more piece of scriptural advice:
3 Do not put YOUR trust in nobles,
Nor in the son of earthling man, to whom no salvation belongs.[/b]

And in case this looks to some like a dis&#39; of Robert, it isn&#39;t. Just "Make sure of all things; hold fast to what is fine." ~1Thess. 5:21

We need to work out our own understandings before we can put faith in God&#39;s promises and in the ransom of Jesus Christ. We can&#39;t just expect it to be given to us by other individuals or institutions. The food they provide must be inspected thoroughly. Then the truth, as we are able to understand it, can be made our own.

take care when jogging it hammers the joints., and ligaments

cycling is great as long as you don&#39;t fall off, or are knocked of by petrol head.
it gives the heart and the lungs a good work out whilst the bike supports the body weight.
of course going uphill is a major effort

tips for cycling
make sure your seat height is correct, balls of the feet just touching the ground whilst seated.
point your knees slightly in toward the cross bar when pedalling

try to keep your pedaling smooth and focus on turning the pedals quickly not your forward speed.
try to keep your cadence between about 90-95 rpms on the flat
and drink before feeling thirsty.

And I also decided to junk the main e-w site and the media site and separate blog sites and consolidate them onto one site on the e-w.com domain. E-w has fallen off the Google radar, partly because of the fact that it has not been updated with new material in a while. I hope putting all the content on one site, along with fresh, regularly updated material, will help bring it back up in the search results.

So, we are pushing everything back to the 1st of October.

By way of an update: I had mentioned in my last update that the book was finished. That was not entirely true. It seems I cannot finish this thing. My wife says I am obsessive about this project. I think she may be right. If I keep fooling around the system is going to blow before I even get it published.

Part of the problem is that I have been using Word for Mac, and it is not all that stable. Seems that every time I open the document, because I have lots of graphics and stuff, the formatting gets all messed up. I have spent hours, no, days, redoing formatting that ends up getting all screwy. And, of course, while I am straightening things out I always add a few words here and there. Timothy has advised me to just lay the manuscript down and walk away and no one will get hurt. Maybe that's a good idea.

But, seriously, I don't remember the first edition being near this difficult.

Anyway, just wanted to give you an update. We are working on it. To be continued...

It has been accomplished. I am at this very moment uploading the last two Mac and PC audio files to the cloud, from where my trusty webmaster will precipitate them. I think you will enjoy the audio files James. I put together musical introductions and sub-heading interludes and conclusions from the Apple, Logic Loop Library. I hope you enjoy it anyway. It was fun to do and very time consuming, I might add.

When I said I had uploaded the files, that was so that my webmaster could access them. Next he has to upload the files to a site.

What I want to do is display the book using page flip technology with streaming audio. So a person can listen and turn the pages of a virtual book. It is not like a regular website. I am not sure if it has even ever been done before. We are not sure if it will work with 20 plus hours of audio files. The file size is massive. So, there is still some work to be done. We will be in the testing phase for awhile. If it doesn't work we will revise the project accordingly. Call me 'Big Idea Bob' if you want.

There are a couple of new chapters. Three, actually, not counting the epilogue. The "newest light," in my opinion, is in regards to the visible presence of Christ. I had written about this previously on the Daniel blog but in the reworked chapter entitled the Parousia it goes into more detail concerning the meaning of the Greek words parousia, epiphania, and apokalypsis--translated presence, manifestation and revelation.

Once the book and audio are available to the public, will we fallow the same procedures as previously, accessing your site ordering the book and downloading the audio? Or do I remember some type of upgrade and change to your old site?
Should I just keep checking your site looking for the new version and downloads?

Hi, ah...yeah...it's me again with an update.

First the good news: The PDF of the book is online, but not available yet. However, there were a few setbacks on the audio. What happened was I made a pretty big mistake. During the editing process I added what I thought was a pretty cool effect to my voice called a "spreader." Basically, the way I had it tweaked it makes my voice sound fuller. I thought it sounded great on the headphones. So, I recorded the whole book, some 25-30 hours, just guessing, with the spreader effect. Then I commenced uploading it to a server last week. Uploaded the whole thing. Then I went to test it out and the streaming files sounded horrible. Something in the encoding process for Internet play did not like the spreading effect. So, I ripped everything down. I am going back and remastering everything, but some of the studio files have gotten lost so I am left with doing other file editing tricks to make it listenable. I also made a serious goof on the mastering of the iTunes and MP3 download files, which I won't go into here. I have spent hundreds of hours on this project and it looks like I am going to have to spend a few more to get it right.

On another positive, I pretty much have my new blog set up. It will go live when the book does.

They say that the only real way we learn is from our mistakes. Well, if that is true, considering the sheer volume of mine, I am going to be pretty smart some day.

Okay, back to work. I am hoping by the end of the week, but allowing for the next disaster I'd better say next week.

Okay, this is my last update. The book site is live. So is the audio book. Also, the new e-watchman site is live. The e-watchman blog and the old book site as well as the main e-watchman site are gone. I am still working on both the audio site and the new watchman site and I wasn't going to update the forum until Monday, but I figured someone was going to click on the old links and go there anyway. So, to minimize confusion consider this the official ribbon cutting. I am trying to get a podcast uploaded to the watchman site but other than that it is good to go.

Now on the book site there are a few bugs yet to be worked out. The entry portal plays a little video that has no controls. And unfortunately when you click on any of the links provided the video page does not close out. But because that page is all flash I have to get back to my flash programmer in Karachi to fix that. And on the e-flip page, you may have slow load times depending on you Internet speed. It is quite a large file. Also, you may have only half the book displayed on your screen. To resolve that there is a tool bar at the top of the PDF. You can click on one of the icons to make the book display full screen. I used number 12 font on the online version so it could be read comfortably in full screen mode. If you find the page flipping annoying or tedious or in some way not worth it, there is a downloadable PDF file of the book on the audio site, which is http://jehovah-is-king-audio.com Like I say, I am still working on the sites but all the files are up.

I had not anticipated having to set up two sites on my own, but it was good practice for me. Also, if you notice any goofs or typos please let me know, either on this thread or privately. I already caught one on the first section break. I was experimenting with using Mac Dictation on that and look where it got me.

As far as the hard copy, I had to walk away from the manuscript for a while to preserve my hair, which, I was ripping out by the handfuls trying to get the headers right, which I ended up dumping altogether. Give me a few days to get back to it and reformat it for the publisher.

Also, while I am thinking of it, for those of you who have already read the first edition and do not want to plow through it again looking for something new, Chapter 5, the Parousia, is entirely re-worked. Chapter 7, the Tempest is new material, as is most of the material in Daniel, chapter 24. (I moved the chapter on the King of Fierce Countenance and combined it with Daniel.) Also, there is a new subheading of material for the Man of Lawlessness. And the Epilogue is all fresh stuff. I actually thinned down the chapter Strange Bedfellows. Of course, I re-worded things and add a few things here and there, but the aforementioned were the main additions.

It is like watching commercial tv. Someone has to pay for it. Actually, there is a little X in the upper right hand corner of the lower bar that you can click on to prevent the ads from popping up. I think you have to do it for every ad that pops up though.

But while it has been revealed that I am Picky, I will say at this point that I really like your new site and have been glued to my computer chair for a while now.

One thing I found funny for myself was, I was sitting at my cp desk with elbow on table and hand on face as the pics started to appear on screen (home page, words come up first then the pics load) and it was the same pose you had.:lol:

I found a problem with the audio book downloads. Chapter 8 Who is blind, the link does not end in .mp3, so it is listed as file type unknown.:confused:

The same with the PDF "Will Christianity Survive" under Archives, it lacks the ".pdf" extension.

Hello Watchman, I appreciate all the good work you have done, and even though I might not completely agree with all that you have posted, a lot of it make sense and is worth while for all of us to consider.

You have done a very good job on the lay out as well, and easy to browse and peruse.

I just realized that the hyperlinks on the page-turner do not work. By the way, the table of Contents chapter listing are hyperlinks, and they do work. The external links to various articles are the ones that do not appear to be active. Maybe it is just a browser issue for Safari. I'll check it out with Firefox.

Also, a couple of readers have sent me email notifications of typos. I really appreciate that. If anyone else is reading the book and you take note of a goof or typo please let me know. I am holding off publishing the hard copy until I can make a few corrections. Then I'll update the downloadable PDF with corrections as well. Getting perfect copy is almost impossible for me without a professional proofreader. I am just trying to get by on the cheap.

I finished uploading the book to the Watchman's Post blog. This makes the info a little more accessible and allows me to link to relevant chapters in subsequent blog entries. Also, I plugged the hyperlinks in that will take you to various articles and research materials. The hard copy is still in production but I think it may be in the final stages.

Also, I added a new feature, Jehovah's Witnesses Beliefs, (http://e-watchman.com/jehovahs-witnesses/) which I will be adding to on a daily basis. It is intended for non-Jehovah's Witnesses primarily. And it will give the search engines something to chew on too.

I am trying to achieve a sort of a critical mass on the Internet. Trying to build a little momentum. Finally got a front page listing on Yahoo for searches involving the phrase "Jehovah's Witnesses." Still working on Google. Look for a fresh podcast on Monday. Still not on iTunes yet though.

If, though, the horrific events initiated by the opening of the sixth seal have not yet occurred, as they surely have not, it also becomes apparent that the five preceding seals have not been unsealed either.

I thought it was interesting that Iran concluded to undertake an arrangement with Turkey to help that country develop domestic nuclear power.

I feel that the Iranian government would hope to capitalise on the worlds press reporting on this. Due to the fact that there has been attempts to bring Iran to heal on the issue.

I don`t really know the details but it seems their is condesention of those in the G8 or UN Security Council the UK/USA dyad toward them on this issue.

Hello truthseeker, we are scattered sheep looking for good grass to graze on, so we go wandering along until we find some.
Also some of us might have fled because of being mistreated by our shepherds who are not looking after Christ sheep in the correct way or they have not led the sheep to greener pastures, where the sheep could be fed properly with life sustaining food.

Some of the sheep have being literally chased away by the shepherds, as if with a whip.

Out of over 12,000,000 witnesses that were baptized over 5,000,000 left the organization, leaving around 7,000,000 or so still in the organization.
This is according to a statistic chart made by someone who researched the organization.

This is quite a turnover rate, for an organization that is suppose to posses a spiritual and social paradise.

If you were in a real paradise would you really want to leave it, to go to the wilderness or a desert?

Maybe in our wandering we may get lost, some of us might lose our way until the "fine shepherd returns" and searches for us and bring us back altogether again in one flock.

This is how I see myself now, a lost sheep searching for a flock of sheep where I know I'll belong and be protected and fed.

Ezekiel 34
1 And the Word of Jehovah was to me, saying,
