Dear James,
You're the best! I love you! :liefde026:
I wish you had kept sending it to me when the official English copy of this DB disappeared a few months ago! I used to read it in my local congregation during the WT study (as well as the Spanish version if I ever was lucky enough to get a photocopy of it in time from b/s of my cong who receive it in that language)!
...unless Spanish-speaking brothers might be able to help me henceforth, Uglyandthin? Gilligan? Tortas? Por favor, ¡hermanos míos! Ahora, os necesito más que nunca antes!

Good study this week. WAY too much for an hour.
They could have rolled the points from paragraph 21 into paragraphs 19 and 20 and eliminated paragraph 13 entirely, IMO.
There would still be too much for an hour but it would be a little more reasonable.

Good morning. Interesting article.
First to establish a well scripture base we must know that ,the Bible assures us that the angels are well-nigh innumerable. In prophetic vision Daniel saw “thousand thousands that kept ministering to [God], and ten thousand times ten thousand that kept standing right before him.” The apostle John tells that the symbolic heavenly armies numbered “two myriads of myriads,” or 200 million. And repeatedly we read of myriads of angels or holy ones.—Dan. 7:10; Rev. 9:16; Heb. 12:22; Jude 14.
Since Jehovah God is a God of order, it is reasonable to conclude that his myriads of heavenly angels are organized. The Chief One over all the angels is Jesus Christ, the Word, the lone archangel, Michael. (Dan. 12:1; John 1:1; Jude 9; Rev. 12:7)Included among the angelic hosts are the seraphs, and cherubs. And then there are the great body of angels or spirit messengers.
God’s spirit messengers minister to his servants on earth today, which is a most comforting thought: “Are they not all spirits for public service, sent forth to minister for those who are going to inherit salvation?” “Do not despise one of these little ones, for I tell you that their angels in heaven always have access to my Father who is in heaven.” Important to notice: Not necessarily that each one of God’s faithful servants has an angel assigned to him; but that one angel is assigned to a number of God’s servants on earth.—Heb. 1:14; Matt. 18:10.
Truly, what God’s Word has to say about his spirit messengers, the angels, is both enlightening and faith-strengthening. Hope we all keep learning about Jah's creations including his seravnts the angels.

I agree, you could spend hours on this fascinating subject.
Alas, this week was our visit from the CO, so the WT study was abbreviated. It was all by rote, all by rote.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
From Wikipedia:
Rote learning is a learning (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Learning) technique which avoids understanding of a subject and instead focuses on memorization (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memory). The major practice involved in rote learning is learning by repetition. The idea is that one will be able to quickly recall (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recollection) the meaning of the material the more one repeats it.
Rote learning is widely used in the mastery of foundational knowledge.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Then again, isnt that how most WT studies turn out?

It's difficult to steer the audience otherwise.
The one guy who is always willing to stray from the paragraph is usually a little loony and comes out of left field with stuff.
Then you've got your hardliners who, much like the WT writers, never miss a chance to tell the congregation how important it is to obey the org and the elders no matter what they say.
And the little kids are going to stick with the paragraph. So are the new people.
And maybe, just maybe, you have a thinker or two in the audience. Is he or she brave enough to comment with what he or she really believes, to buck the system a little?
Usually not.
And there's not a lot the conductor can do to change things if he wants to remain the conductor. You can emphasize certain points and paragraphs and gloss over others, and you can steer things a bit with side questions but honestly there isn't a lot of time for that anymore.
This week was a good study that mostly stayed on point. Some weeks the article is all over the place, so this was one of the better ones.
I'm interested in how the angels travel.
In Daniel it says that the angel arrived so quickly, even before the prayer was finished. Dan 9:20-23
How do they do that? Can we assume that they have the mastery over time. That they can operate in such a way that time is virtually non existent for them. If that is so, surely it is the same for Satan. Or is he restricted now?
It has interesting extension for life in the New world. Will we be able to harness such power of the Angels in some way? What is the role of all these Angels when humans are perfected.
Just a thought

Hi FGM, I believe they have interdimensional travel and the use of teleporting.
As they are not matter beings, but are spirits, they would be capable of projecting their spirit body from their dimension and into our physical universe where us humans exist in matter form.
They can appear anywhere they need to.
As spirits they also would be able to virtually travel this way at the speed of thought.
In our time it would barely take a split second to do this.

God's purposes was often conveyed through individuals that God used as prophets and leaders, such as Moses.
For instance the ten commandments were given to the people through Moses.
Today we have God's message delivered to us through our Lord Jesus and his selected Apostles, which is recorded down for us in the Greek scriptures or as others call it the New Testament.
Any clarification or interpretation of Jesus or the apostles words, which are already written down for us today, is by means of God's Holy Spirit on certain individuals in the Christian congregation that God chooses to give this understanding to and not through a body of men who claim to interpret the Bible for us today and decide what we are to believe as to interpretation of Bible prophecies.
Most likely these ones are those who are intensely interested in God's purposes, living in harmony with his purpose and are diligently studying his word and are already praying for Holy Spirit to help them understand God's Word, and Bible prophecy.
Just my comment on this Watchtower study.
