Hi Shikinah. Hi everybody else.
First off, although I'm a new member, I somewhat feel amongst friends. I have been visiting this site for some time but held back from joining as I wanted to see what the spirit in this forum was like. I didn't want to be in a place that was only going to sling mud at the Society for the sake of it, like some sites.
Rather I wanted to see if the brother and sisters could point out the mistakes the Society has made/is making in a respectful way, whilst still recognizing that the organization bears Gods name and for this reason is due respect. Much like King David had respect for Saul, even though he was hunted down like an animal.
And what can I say? Even though we have/are or would be ostracized for our thoughts, I don't feel anybody is bitter, hateful or revengeful. That is impressive and long may that be the case!!!
I am glad I am here as a few weeks ago I was at my wits end, frustrated and fed up. It was at that time that I came across this site and all of a sudden I didn't feel alone anymore. It was quite incredible really, to read the experiences that others were going through - it was in every-case nearly EXACTLY the same that I was experiencing. Remarkable!! Is there something at work here? If it is I can only hope and I pray that it is benevolent.
I look forward to posting with everybody here as I've got so much to say and ask, so please bear with me

Welcome aboard Lonely Sheep.
Act's 3:19 - To you be:
seasons of refreshing may come from the person of Jehovah 20 and that he may send forth the Christ appointed for YOU, Jesus, 21 whom heaven, indeed, must hold within itself until the times of restoration of all things of which God spoke through the mouth of his holy prophets of old time.

Hello Lonely Sheep,
I think what you did in waiting and viewing the board was the sensible thing to do, as you probably already know there are quite a few forums which exist, but like you said they're full of anger and bitterness which doesn't resolve anything.
There is something at work here and that is love, every one has been driven by their love for truth despite the consequences, as the truth sets us free to worship Jehovah in real spirit and truth and to honer his son Jesus Christ and develop a relationship with him, as we should have been.
So happy to have you on board friend..look forward to your posts.

Welcome! You are right, there arent many forums that dont have that bitterness etc. Its easy to become bitter in the current situation but we just have to fight that feeling (I find it quite difficult at times), because bitterness certainly does not help but can only make things much worse for ourselves.

Welcome!
One way I observe many on this forum channel the negative feelings, myself included, is with humor rather than rancor. Laughter is great medicine, and rather than let the bad things get us down, it's healthier to joke, even if the joke has to be sarcastic at times. :o :p
And humility plays a part in that, as well. It's easy to be critical of the faults of the org's leadership but who among us can really cast stones with a clean conscience? So we can discuss the flaws and faults without condemning particular individuals.

Hi Lonely Sheep, glad you have decided to join our forum congregation.:p
We all have our different personalities, but the emphasis is on truth, and you will find we all have respect for that, though at times we do let loose on the injustices that happen within the organization. But we try to keep everything up tempo, and with respect for one another.
Looking forward to your posts.;)

Hello LonelySheep, and welcome to the forum.
From time to time unfortunately some of us do sling mud at the society, me included, but we do try to keep it in perspective as I'm sure most of us can see God's spirit on various individuals in the organization.
Really though I hate that word religion or organization as both those words convey a certain element of control over it's members.
I would prefer to say that there are many true Christians in an organization of which it's structure was set up by imperfect men to achieve the preaching work in a more organized manner.
To actually say that this organization is spirit directed is to me actually a blasphemy against the HOLY SPIRIT as the HOLY SPIRIT could not make so many misunderstandings and misleading statements as has been made in the past and is continuing to be made.
The Holy Spirit always tells the truth.
What is said under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit will always come true, without fail.
The Holy Spirit is Holy and clean and so therefore any of those whom have the Holy Spirit upon them would also have to be living a clean and moral life.
The Holy Spirit also promotes love, and so those who posses the Holy Spirit would have to show this love towards God and Christ and toward others, especially towards those related to them in the faith.
(Galatians 5:19-26) 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, and they are fornication, uncleanness, loose conduct, 20 idolatry, practice of spiritism, enmities, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, contentions, divisions, sects, 21 envies, drunken bouts, revelries, and things like these. As to these things I am forewarning YOU, the same way as I did forewarn YOU, that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s kingdom. 22 On the other hand, the fruitage of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, 23 mildness, self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Moreover, those who belong to Christ Jesus impaled the flesh together with its passions and desires. 25 If we are living by spirit, let us go on walking orderly also by spirit. 26 Let us not become egotistical, stirring up competition with one another, envying one another.
