Most of you may not have been aware, but a few days ago, someone registered for an account here on the Discussion Board, under false pretenses, and then proceeded to castigate and accuse. Once they had their say, they immediately sent a request that their account be deleted, of course, and demanded confirmation that it was done.
Normally, when someone requests that their account be removed, it is done as promptly as possible, and is nearly always because the person did not understand that the discussions that take place here are at times difficult from a "loyal Witness" point-of-view, in relation to their loyalty to the Watchtower leaders. To help alleviate said confusion, the wording was adjusted on the Guidelines and Requirements, and it is now a condition for registration that the person acknowledge formally that they have taken the time to look over the Discussion Board and the topics and responses, to satisfy beforehand any potential for shock or surprise. If a person believes that the Discussion Board is "apostate" (according to the Watchtower's own interpretation), then it makes absolutely no sense for them to register, claiming that they will abide by the Guidelines and Requirements, and then start hurling accusations of apostasy, apostate site, apostate posters, etc., then jump back out and demand that their account be removed. And that's not even to mention the unChristian manner and lack of spiritual maturity on their part.
In the end, I simply banned that account and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future, as an example that there are wolves such as this who resort to these jump in-attack-and jump back out-style attacks.
But it does serve as a reminder that a change in the policy that has been in place regarding new registrants now needs to be revised.
As a result, anyone registering for posting privileges on the Discussion Board will have their initial posts moderated before they appear publicly. This will afford everyone a chance to express whether they are lying or resorting to deceit in order to get in "among us" so as to sow their contentious, contemptible speeches with no interest in engaging with us for discussion whatsoever. If they are sincerely interested in engaging others in discussions, it will quickly become apparent and they will no longer be moderated.
If, after passing the moderation stage, they then proceed to reveal their true nature and reason for being here, then they will be revealed for what they truly are apart from their earlier posts to sneak in as a "concerned" believer: liars and deceivers, not to mention hypocrites. And their account and IP will be banned with no further word on the matter.
