Consider the patience of our Lord as salvation.—2 Pet. 3:15.

Is not the patience of God something to marvel at? In spite of the magnitude of human disobedience, Jehovah has allowed each one of us, along with millions of other people, the opportunity to come to know him and to embrace the hope of salvation. When we understand why Jehovah is patient, we are helped to wait patiently for the salvation he will bring, never concluding that he is slow in fulfilling his promises. (Lam. 3:26) While we continue to pray for God’s Kingdom to come, we trust that God knows the best time to answer that prayer. Further, we are moved to imitate Jehovah by showing godly patience in our dealings with our brothers and with those to whom we preach. We too do not desire any to be destroyed but would like to see them repent and share our hope of everlasting life. Let us pray that Jehovah will continue to be patient with all of us as we serve him day by day.—1 Tim. 2:3, 4. w 2/1/06 10, 11

Jehovah's patience certainly s something to marvel at. In reality, if it were not for Jehovah's love and patience, I know I would be 6 feet under because of my past lifestyle.

If Jehovah dealt with mankind the way they deal with each other none of us would be here today. In fact Adam and Eve would not have been given the opportunity to "bring forth children" (Ge 3:16) if Jehovah was not patient and loving, and we would not even be here.

As for this statement in todays's text "While we continue to pray for God's Kingdom to come, we trust that God knows the best time to answer that prayer", I now keep in mind that only JEHOVAH KNOWS. All I can do is pray, stay in Jehovah's Word, watch world events as they unfold, and pray what I am doing lines up with what Jehovah says to do, without pushing ahead or falling behind. I never ever want to experience another 1975 EVER!!!

Thank you Jehovah for being patient with all of us.

Just some of my little thoughts. Thanks for today's text Barry.

Sisterly love to all

I too marvel at Jehovah's patience. 6,000 years is a very long time to put up with man's selfishness and atrocities against God's creation.

Another thing I marvel at is that we just happen to be living (our existence alone being such a miracle) at the time of the end, the end of Satan's system of things. To also be here at a time in our lives when we have made the turnaround (thanks to Jehovah calling us out of darkness) to be in a position to do his will during this most important period in history. It looks like we will be around for the time when Jehovah's patience finally runs out.

Personally, I'm looking forward to it, I've had enough....

By the end of the 1,000 years mankind will have seen how Satan operates and be able to compare that to Jehovah's version of government. Any that prefer Satan's style surely deserve to be eliminated along with Satan and his demons. Otherwise they would always be a detriment to a stable society and would be a constant concern. Without them there can be peace. At that time Jehovah will have proved that he is the rightfull Sovereign of the Universe and the one who is worthy of our worship. (Of course, we already know that!!)
