If you tried to access the forum earlier in the day it was offline. Seems I didn't pay to renew my domain and server expenses on time. But, obviously we are back online now. Sorry for the scare.

That was quick:
You must have made a phone call  and described your fine record of payment.
You removed the post in Anouncements regarding OffLine. I thought my response had a good point - Ya Think;)
Thanks for all you are doing Robert:)

I read your comment about the possibility of accepting donations. First, I really appreciate your support and generous spirit.
Actually, a few years ago for a brief period I accepted donations. At the time I was spending like four figures per month on promoting the site. Now though I think hosting all the sites comes to a couple of hundred per month, which I can handle right now.
Frankly, accepting donations complicates my work. Human nature being what it is, I think some donors are of the opinion that their donation gives them editorial rights or something. Also, it opens me up to the accusation by some that I am money-motivated. And then there are tax complications. So, as long as my funds hold out I am intent on going it alone.

CTR had a similar perspective on Pandering.
Observing the reactions of so many to your message; I have to say you are a steelleed Eyed missile Man but still a Man; I see your point about opening yourself up to anymore accusations.
May Jehovah Protect your faith Robert:)

Thank you for explaining that Robert, I didn't realise it was that expensive to host a few sites, if things do get tough I'm sure we could all contribute, glad your up and running again :D

Hello Robert, I am grateful for the privilege of commenting and posting on this site and so I thank you so very much for maintaining this forum, at your expense.
It is one of the forums that maintain my spiritual health.
The other most important thing is personal study of God's Word (Bible) and meditation and of course prayer.
While I do these things, I'm alright, but the minute I slacken of, I feel a lack of God's spirit.

Hi Watchman:
Who among us has never sent a payment late? Not I. You are forgiven my son, go and sin no more.

Considering that the DB has been in operation since around May 2004, with a very consistent uptime (excluding maintenance periods) for the past 5 1/2 years, I'd say we're doing VERY good.
This month was purely a fluke, as in every other instance where payment was late/overdue (waiting for mail from the UK postal system was often nightmarish!), I covered it for Robert until his payment was received, to ensure that things kept running without interruption. However, I had a major expense heaped on me last month, depleting my savings, and couldn't do it when December 1 rolled around and Robert's payment hadn't arrived; thus the downtime. So, I offer my apologies as well to the DB regulars and guests.
