As I am reading through the NT I am only seeing talks about the heavenly resurrection. In the OT the earthly resurrection was the focus as you read in Isaiah and other places. Where in the NT is the earthly resurrection talked about? I know in the book of revelations somwhere it talks about two resurrections, i think its chapter 20. Now i'm only in the 2Coritheians, probably spelt it wrong, so I know I have not read all the NT and there could be places that mention an earthly resurrection. So my question is, what are some scriputers that talk about an earthly resurrection in the NT?

I was just reading 1 Cor 15. Paul seems to be talking about two resurrections.

42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption, it is raised up in incorruption. 43 It is sown in dishonor, it is raised up in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised up in power. 44 It is sown a physical body, it is raised up a spiritual body. If there is a physical body, there is also a spiritual one. 45 It is even so written: "The first man Adam became a living soul." The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 46 Nevertheless, the first is, not that which is spiritual, but that which is physical, afterward that which is spiritual. 47 The first man is out of the earth and made of dust; the second man is out of heaven. 48 As the one made of dust [is], so those made of dust [are] also; and as the heavenly one [is], so those who are heavenly [are] also. 1 Cor 15:42-48

Hi Olm

Referring to what Juan quoted in 1 Corinthians 15, just a few verses before that Paul made a definite distinction between the firstfruits and those who follow afterward. It reads:

<sup>

And they came to life and ruled as kings with the Christ for a thousand years. [b]5 (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection.

Hope that helps some

ok so i am seeing some scriptures to support the idea of an earthly resurrection in the NT. Its just not as clear cut as the heavenly resurrection is in the NT. My point to this was to show other people who only believe you go to heaven or hell when you die that there is a resurrection of heaven and earth and that even evil people are resurrected as mention by paul. thank you all for your help and if you can find any more that would be great if not you gave me more then i had.
