Yes the adjusted understanding is significant but actually it is old understanding of the 20s or 30s._
See TheWatchtower, February 15, 2008, pages 21-25.
They go into great detail about Noah’s day in order to support this adjustment, harmonizing Jesus reference to Noah.
I guess Holy Spirit has cart blanch to flip flop!

Yes now according to their increased light the "this generation" can go on forever, kind of like a relay team, as someone on another forum put it about this subject.

Which effectively renders Christ's words MEANINGLESS. Way to go Brooklyn. It all reminds me of another passage of Christ's words: "And so YOU have made the word of God invalid because of YOUR tradition." - Matthew 15:6b

Hi All:
According to the understanding that the generation that saw the beginning of the sign would also see the last, we are indeed running out of time. There are only three men living today who were in the armed forces of any country involved in World War 1 during that time. One lives in Canada, one in Australia and one lives in the United States. Quite flip flopping Watchtower. At least hold onto one original teaching. We are very close to the final judgement of this system and even closer to the judgement of the Harlot, the WTBTS. Stay tuned, it won't be long.

Hello Everyone,
What my concern is about this adjustment (or whatever it is) is the way I keep hearing at every other meeting lately how we must follow direction, instruction coming from the GB/FDS.
During the C.O.'s concluding talk he spent the whole time talking about the spirit of the world and how we must not have this spirit (true) but his whole visit had to do more or less with constantly telling us to follow direction, obey. I was wondering if anyone else who recently had their CO had a similar concluding talk or talks.
I have not been posting as much because I was beginning to sound (imo) negative. I am also (in my opinion - perception) seeing a pattern in the talks and literature that I really used to dismiss.
What I feel now is that a pattern of how things are expressed are used in order to get our minds prepared to either accept these adjustments or whatever they are going to do OR ELSE). They try to make us feel that it is our loyalty, obedience, love for Jehovah's way of doing things that we should submit to whatever it is they say or do EVEN IF WE DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY.
Well I don't have a problem obeying Jehovah, but I do have a problem with the way (I feel personally) that Jehovah's sheep are being manipulated to accept changes that are subtely being made and the way they do it. They make these adjustments and then bring Jehovah into it as if he decided no, I did not mean that, I mean that the generation living, no it's all who witnessesed these things from beginning to end, no, what I mean is ............................
I was sickened at the way they led into this generation adjustment (for lack of a better word while listening to it)
Another example as I skimmed through the study articles is found in the January 15, 2010 Study Mag. It is in the Article to be studied March 29-April 4. Jehovah's Way of Ruling Vindicated! (Page 28)
In paragraph's 13 -15
Christians today proclaim to the the world that human rule over mankind is nearing its end. In 1914, Jehovah established his Kingdom in the heavens under his appointed King, Jesus Christ. At that time, he granted Jesus authority to go forth "conquering and to complete his conquest." (Rev 6:2) The newly enthroned King was told: "Go Subduing in the midst of your enemies." (Ps 110:2) Sadly, the nations have consistently refused to submit to Jehovah's rule. They have continued to act as if "there is no Jehovah." - Ps 14:1
A few anointed members of "the Israel of God" still remain, and as Jesus' brothers, they continue to act as "ambassadors substituting for Christ." (2Cor 5:20) THEY HAVE BEEN APPOINTED AS A FAITHFUL AND DISCREET SLAVE CLASS to care for and provide spiritual food for anointed ones and a growing crowd of Christians, who now include millions having the hope of living on earth forever (MT 24:45-47; Rev 7:9, 15) Jehovah's blessing on that arrangement is evident in the spiritual prosperity enjoyed by true worshipers today.
Each of us would do well to ask himself: 'Do I fully recognize the responsibilities that I should shoulder within the Christian congregation? Am I properly supporting Jehovah's way of governing? Am I proud to be a subject of Jehovah's ruling Kingdom? Am I determined to continue telling others about God's Kingdom to the extent that I reasonably can?' AS A GROUP, WE WILLINGLY SUBMIT OURSELVES TO THE DIRECTION GIVEN BY THE GOVERNING BODY AND COOPERATE WITH THE APPOINTED ELDERS IN THE CONGREGATIONS.
In such ways, we DEMONSTRATE OUR ACCEPTANCE OF GOD'S WAY OF RULING Heb 13:17. WILLING SUBMISSION results in worldwide unity that is unique in this divided world. It also produces peace and righteousness and brings glory to Jehovah, demonstrating that his way of ruling is by far the best. (ARE THEY KIDDING ME)
Of course Jehovah's way of ruling is the best. We all know that. It is the blatant not even subtle way they more or less (just my opinion) make up things and then more or less invite Jehovah to bless their way of doing things.
Well in my opinion it seems to me that something is being exposed here. But that is just what I see and my perception.
Why do I still go if I am so distraught. Because husband is still in and right now I cannot disrupt my household. I don't attend all meetings because I cannot handle it. I go as much as I can.
He knows how I feel, thinks I am off my rocker, but for now just leaves me alone. He has no idea what I am talking about, just looks at me now and says nothing. So for now this is how it is.
But I know there will be a time when other actions will have to be taken on my part. I do feel that we are in a serious "make up your mind now, it won't be much longer" (my words) Jehovah's Kingdom or keep sitting on the fence. I also feel as though the MOL is really flexing their spiritual muscles and it is going to get really ugly sooner than later. It seems like there will come a time when it will flatly be said/read from the platform or some form (a talk from CO or something) where there will be no more half stepping. You either do what they say or you will no longer be recognized in their eyes one of JW's.
Sorry again, if I sound negative. I am just very filled up and this is where I can let it out, even if no one says a word to what I post (LOL). That's OKEY DOKEY at least I got it out.
May Jehovah be with us all in the critical days ahead, as we hold on tight to Jehovah and his son, and allow Jehovah to direct our steps so we make the choices we know are backed up by Jehovah.
Proverbs 27:11
Be wise, my son, and make my heart rejoice, that I may make a reply to him that is taunting me.

Hello Eyes & Ears and hello all.
I recommend all of you to go over the last 2 years of the Watchtower study articles and see how many references there are to the "faithful and discreet slave", "governing body" or related and references to "apostates", no doubt you will find it revealing as you established a pattern of manipulation, of the organization's members thoughts and actions.
In other words the organization is now fighting back to retain as many of it's members as it can, for even though many are being added through the witnessing work (which is attributed to God's spirit and blessing), many more are exiting out the back door of the organization, (fading out) or even openly, out the front door (which results in disfellowshiping).

Make no mistake, brothers and sisters, the Organization "Governing Body" has unofficially declared war on all apostates, especially those who are Jehovah's Witnesses or once were affiliated with them.
