Hello all, this is a post from my perspective about Satan's crushing defeat.
(Genesis 3) [LITV]
14 And Jehovah God said to the serpent, Because you have done this, you are cursed above all beasts, and above every animal of the field. You shall go on your belly, and you shall eat dust all the days of your life.
15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He will bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.
And so began God's judgment on Satan and all his seed.
Satan's seed soon began to manifest itself with the murder of one of Adam's sons, Abel who was a righteous man before the Almighty God.
Cain was the start of this seed here on earth.
This was soon followed by "the Sons of the True God" coming down to earth and corrupting the human race with their genes and their wickedness to the point where God saw the need to destroy the entire human race at that time who were living on the earth, except for one family.
Now during this time since the murder of Abel, there were some righteous souls leading up to the righteous man Noah.
The Bible really only mentions one of these, particularly because of his exceptional faith in God the Almighty and also because of his righteousness.
(Genesis 5) [LITV]
21 And Enoch lived sixty five years and fathered Methuselah.
22 And Enoch walked with God three hundred years after he fathered Methuselah. And he fathered sons and daughters.
23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty five years.
24 And Enoch walked with God. Then he was not, for God took him.
This man pronounced a judgment against the these heavenly wicked sons of the True God and also against those that were wicked leading up to the flood of Noah's day, but also he was prophesying about those who would be convicted at the end of the system of things in our time as well as this scripture here in Jude shows.
(Jude 1) [LITV]
14 And "the seventh from Adam," Enoch, also prophesied to these men, saying, Behold, "the Lord came with" myriads "of His saints,"
15 "to do judgment against all, and to rebuke all" the ungodly of them concerning all their ungodly works which they ungodly did, "and concerning all the hard things ungodly sinners spoke against Him." I Enoch 1:9; 5:4; 60:8
Now all these wicked ones who eventually will be destroyed in the "lake of fire" as mentioned in (Revelation 20:10, 15) are all included as part of Satan's seed, including his organizations that he had set up to control and influence mankind, particularly since the time of the "tower of Babel".
For Satan, his crushing defeat will finally be accomplished in every respect.
But the question now arises as to when did his crushing begin and by whom?
Well to answer this we need to go back to the original prophesy and review what it said.
Here in verse 15 of Genesis chapter 3, it states : And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He will bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.
So from this we can see how it would be the seed of the woman that would bruise Satan an his seed a blow to the head, symbolizing a death blow.
But who actually makes up this seed of the woman?
Well to answer this we need to go back to this scriptures to clarify this.
First we will look at this one in (Genesis 22)
16 And He said, I have sworn by Myself, declares Jehovah, that on account of this thing you have done, and have not withheld your son, your only son,
17 that blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens, and as the sand which is on the shore of the sea. And your Seed shall possess the gate of His enemies.
18 And in your Seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed because you have obeyed My voice. [LITV]
Now let us look at this one in (Luke 8)
9 And His disciples questioned Him, saying, What might this parable be?
10 And He said, To you it has been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the rest in parables, that seeing they might not see, and hearing, they might not understand. Isa. 6:9
11 And this is the parable: The seed is the Word of God. [LITV]
Now you might be asking what has this scripture got to do with crushing Satan an all his seed?
Again to answer this we need to go to the book of (John in chapter 1)
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He was in the beginning with God.
3 All things came into being through Him, and without Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being.
4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men;
5 and the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overtake it.
6 There was a man sent from God; his name was John.
7 He came for a witness, that he might witness concerning the Light, that all might believe through Him.
8 He was not that Light, but that he might witness concerning the Light.
9 He was the true Light; He enlightens every man coming into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world came into being through Him, yet the world did not know Him.
11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.
12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave authority to become children of God, to the ones believing into His name,
13 who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but were born of God.
14 And the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us. And we beheld His glory, glory as of an only begotten from the Father, full of grace and of truth.
Here we see that the true seed actually started with Christ who was God's Word here on earth and is now God's Word in heaven.
It is through him and his seed which he began to sow here on earth that was the manifestation and the beginning of the "sons of the Kingdom" (the wheat).
(Matthew 13) [LITV]
36 Then sending away the crowds, Jesus came into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, Explain to us the parable of the darnel of the field.
37 And answering, He said to them, The One sowing the good seed is the Son of Man.
38 And the field is the world; and the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom; but the darnel are the sons of the evil one.
39 And the hostile one who sowed them is the Devil, and the harvest is the end of the age, and the angels are the reapers.
40 Then as the darnel is gathered and is consumed in the fire, so it will be in the completion of this age.
41 The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all the offenses, and those who practice lawlessness.
42 And they will throw them into the furnace of fire; there will be weeping and gnashing of the teeth.
43 Then the righteous will shine out like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. The one having ears to hear, let him hear.
Also at this time Satan's seed (the weeds, the sons of the wicked one) was also becoming manifested.
It was this seed, starting with the "Word OF God" that was to begin bruising of Satan and his seed in the head.
But also at this time would begin the bruising of the seed of the woman in the heel.
The question arises however, which comes first, the bruising of Satan and his seed in the head or the bruising of the woman's seed in the heel?
Well as we know from the scripture in Genesis 3, it is the bruising in the head that comes first and in that order.
But how can that be when it appears that the principal seed of the woman, (Jesus Christ was figuratively bruised in the heel when he was impaled on the torture stake?
It does appear that Jesus was actually bruised in the heel first doesn't it?
We have to keep in mind however that in this case and regards to this prophecy, it is God that actually strikes first, as a preemptive strike if you like.
But how did this preemptive strike take place?
To answer this we again to go back to God's word.
Let us first read this scripture here in (Luke 1)
26 And in the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth,
27 to a virgin who had been betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mariam.
28 And entering, the angel said to her, Hail, one having received grace! The Lord is with you. You are blessed among women!
29 And seeing this, she was disturbed at his word, and considered what kind of greeting this might be.
30 And the angel said to her, Do not fear, Mariam, for you have found favor from God.
31 And behold! You will conceive in your womb and bear a Son, and you will call His name Jesus.
32 This One will be great and will be called Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.
33 And He will reign over the house of Jacob to the ages, and of His kingdom there will be no end.
34 But Mariam said to the angel, How will this be since I do not know a man?
35 And answering, the angel said to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you, and for this reason that Holy One being born of you will be called Son of God.
Here we see that it was already ordained that Jesus would be the King that would sit on Davids throne and his kingdom (the seed) would continue on forever.
Now let us look at this scripture in (Luke 2)
7 And she bore her son, the First-born. And she wrapped Him and laid Him in the manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.
8 And shepherds were in the same country living in the fields and keeping guard over their flock by night.
9 And, behold, an angel of the Lord came on them. And the glory of the Lord shone around them. And they feared with a great fear.
10 And the angel said to them, Do not fear. For, behold, I proclaim good news to you, a great joy, which will be to all people,
11 because today a Savior, who is Christ the Lord, was born to you in the city of David.
12 And this is a sign to you: You will find a babe having been wrapped, lying in the manger.
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and saying,
14 Glory to God in the highest, and peace on earth, good will among men.
So here we see that it is the birth of the messiah that would ultimately become responsible for Satan's death knell.
Now we start to see how already Satan was being targeted by the very birth of the Messiah himself.
So then Satan tries to stop this messiah from being realized by trying to erase him from the earth by means of Herod.
(Matthew 2) [LITV]
16 Then seeing that he was mocked by the wise men, Herod was greatly enraged, and having sent, he killed all the boys in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under, according to the time which he exactly asked from the wise men.
As we read here Satan through Herod (part of Satan's seed) attempted to destroy this seed of the woman, but without any success.
Next Satan attempts to destroy Jesus spiritually by tempting him to break his integrity, while he is out in the wilderness.
He did this three times without success and already Satan's head was feeling the pressure of the seed of the woman.
Satan again and again attempts to kill him physically by means of the authority of the the pharisees (Satan's seed), but again without success, for it was not time as yet, for the seed of the woman to be bruised in the heel.
Eventually when it was God's due time for Satan to realize that he had being bruised in the head and also the time for the seed of the woman to be bruised in the heel, this did take place when Jesus had finished his ministry on earth and he had planted the other part of the woman's seed that would make up the Kingdom.
This of course took place by means of Satan's seed (the wicked Jewish authority) and the (Roman authority) when Jesus was impaled on a stake and died.
But this bruising was short-lived and was only like a bruise in the heel, because Jesus was resurrected and became a far more powerful being than he was before he came down to earth.
This was to Satan a crushing defeat.
But this was only the beginning of the crushing of Satan and his seed, for he and his seed was to be crushed by the entire seed of the woman (The Kingdom with all it's members) before he and all his seed would finally be destroyed forever.
(Romans 1) [LITV]
19 For your obedience reached to all; therefore, I rejoice over you. But I desire you to be truly wise as to good, but simple toward evil.
20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
(Daniel 2) [LITV]
44 And in the days of these kings, the God of Heaven shall set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed. And the kingdom shall not be left to other people. It shall break in pieces and destroy all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.
45 Because you saw that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it broke the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold in pieces. The great God has made known to the king what shall occur after this. And the dream is certain, and the meaning of it is trustworthy.
But the same also goes for the seed of the woman.
The bruising of the seed of the woman was an ongoing situation where all her seed would eventually be bruised in the heel by being persecuted by Satan and his seed, up and until our day today.
(Revelation 12) [LITV]
17 And the dragon was enraged over the woman, and went away to make war with the rest of her seed, those keeping the commandments of God, and having the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Finally however the seed of the woman will have complete victory over Satan and his seed (the complete crushing of his and his seed's head) as described in (Revelation 20) [LITV]
7 And whenever the thousand years are ended, Satan will be set loose out of his prison,
8 and he will go to mislead the nations in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to assemble them in war, whose number is as the sand of the sea.
9 And they went up over the breadth of the land and encircled the camp of the saints, and the beloved city. And fire from God came down out of Heaven and burned them down.
10 And the Devil leading them astray was thrown into the Lake of Fire and Brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet were. And they were tormented day and night to the ages of the ages.
11 And I saw a great white throne, and the One sitting on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled; and a place was not found for them.
12 And I saw the dead, the small and the great, standing before God. And books were opened. And another Book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged out of the things written in the books, according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead in it. And death and hell gave up the dead in them. And they were each judged according to their works.
14 And death and hell were thrown into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death.
15 And if anyone was not found having been written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the Lake of Fire.
