Who are the 'Bible Student'?

Who are the 'Bible Student'? - and I dont mean us in the sense that we are students of the bible, but rather the group that own this site

They seem to be a blast from the past, with references to Charles Russell and his works.

Curious though, as students of the bible they don't seem to have come across Gods name, as I have not seen it mentioned on their site.

It seems there were many splinter groups created after the death of Charles - so that group you link to, could be anyone.

I got the following paragraph from the "Pastor Russel Blog Spot" site.

"After Charles death in 1916 many Bible Students no longer wanted to work with the WTB&TS, these retained the name Bible Students. Others wanted to move forward so in 1931, they embraced the new name Jehovah’s Witnesses. Worldwide, the Witnesses number 7,313,173 members. The Bible Students have no head office, and have split into a number of different factions."

That is probably a good thing that they're not an org. that has morphed into the borg...as Jeshurun would say.

I'm actually a member there. They are, in my opinion, our brothers. I am about to step out the door at the moment, but I would be happy to offer more information about the site and the brethren there if you'd like.
