Hi Bill, I have viewed your video and I must say that it is decidingly strange to my way of thinking as I take this particular part of John's vision as symbolic.

Now having said this, we must be able to establish whether a vision is in symbolic mode or is a real picture of what is going to happen in the future.

Now in this particular part of John's vision in (Revelation 9) we have evidence that this is symbolic.

Revelation 9
1 And the fifth angel trumpeted. And I saw a star out of the heaven falling onto the earth. And the key to the pit of the abyss was given to it.
2 And he opened the pit of the abyss. And smoke went up out of the pit, like smoke of a great furnace. And the sun was darkened, and the air, by the smoke of the pit.
3 And out of the smoke locusts came forth to the earth. And authority was given to them, as the scorpions of the earth have authority.
4 And it was said to them that they should not harm the grass of the earth, nor every green thing, nor every tree, except only the men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads.
5 And it was given to them that they should not kill them, but that they be tormented five months. And their torment is as the torment of a scorpion when it stings a man.
6 And in those days men will seek death, and they will not find it. And they will long to die, yet death will flee from them.
7 And the likenesses of the locusts were like horses having been prepared for war; and on their heads as crowns, like gold; and their faces like the faces of men.
8 And they had hairs like the hairs of women; and their teeth were like those of lions.
9 And they had breastplates like iron breastplates; and the sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots with many horses running to war.
10 And they have tails like scorpions, and their stings were in their tails; and their authority is to harm men five months.
11 And they have a king over them, the angel of the abyss. In Hebrew his name was Abaddon, and in Greek he has the name Apollyon.
12 The first woe has departed; behold, after these things come two woes.

One of the first things that we notice about this prophecy is that a star falls out of heaven and the key to the abyss was given it.

Secondly this "star" is referred to as an "it" rather than a "he" or a "she'.

So what could this star possibly be?

Well let's look at another example further in the previous chapter.

Revelation 8 [LITV]
11 And the name of the star is said to be Wormwood. And the third part of the waters became changed into wormwood. And many men died from the waters, because they were bitter.

This star is said to be "Wormwood", and it changes a one third of the "waters" into wormwood so that these "waters" were made bitter.

Here we can plainly see that it is symbolic, a concept that is referred to here.

The star referred to here is symbolic and so as "waters" as you already have determined in another post. (waters) as representing people or representing a life source, such as spiritual food, spiritual drink, or the economy for instance that sustains the population.

In any case the "waters" here is a concept, not literal.

To my way of thinking it is obvious that this "star" is a situation that will take place at this given time.

Let's look at another example.

Revelation 6 [LITV]
13 and the stars of the heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree being shaken by a great wind casts its unripe figs.
14 And the heaven departed like a scroll being rolled up. And every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
15 And the kings of the earth, and the great ones, and the rich ones, and the commanders, and the powerful ones, and every slave, and every freeman hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains.

In this particular verse we are again looking at a similar word and that is "stars", which is again in a symbolic sense.

Stars in this case is plural, but still it is representing a concept or a system that the "kings" of the earth and all there subjects are part of.

So what is my point?

Well if "star" here in this vision is symbolic then it stands as a rule that the rest of this vision is also symbolic in nature, representing something.

But I'm not saying that what you are presenting here will not happen as these nasties could very well be released, but this in my opinion is symbolic, and will represent a situation that will take place that will release these symbolic locusts a plague that will last a symbolic five months as the normal life span of literal locusts last between 4 - 6 months.

5 months being a median between 4 and 6 months.

Thank you Futureman, you made some very good points.
There is a difference in the waters definition. For before "the waters" mentioned were mankind.
At Rev. 8:10-11 the water is described this way-
"...a third of the rivers and upon the fountains of waters...".
"the waters" term was avoided here, for very clear reason. It is not referring to people.

You said "this "star" is referred to as an "it""
My Bible says "him" at Rev. 1:9, "he" at Rev. 2:9.

Is it a coincidence that the day after I posted info about morgellons on this site (and others),
I discovered that I have inadvertently collected a large quantity of morg samples?

Is it a coincidence that one of the first things that I tested
on the morg samples (with success) was chlorophyll?
(Rev. 9:4- harm no vegetation)

Why did God call these locusts, which are vegetarian,
when they are forbidden to consume vege's?

I have read many interpretations of the locusts,
but none is truly capable of explaining all of the signs given in Rev.
People with morgs have no issues identifying the locusts.

I see many here will keep waiting for these, and other things to be revealed.
Why do you suppose God gave us Revelation anyway, for it to remain an eternal secret mystery?
Does anyone here believe in the unsealing?

Living polymer (plastic) organisms are now being disclosed as do-able.
On February 14, 2010, New Scientist published an article on a discovery made.
It's entitled "Genetic code 2.0: Life gets a new operating system"
Here is a quote- "A new way of using the genetic code has been created,
allowing proteins to be made with properties that have never been seen in the natural world.
The breakthrough could eventually lead to the creation of new or "improved"
life forms incorporating these new materials into their tissue."

"But that's just the beginning. In the longer term it might be possible
to create cells that produce entirely new polymers, such as plastic-like materials.
Organisms made of these cells could incorporate the stronger polymers
and become stronger or more adaptable as a result."
