Interesting. I've had trouble with Michael being Jesus, but when you realise that Genesis 3:15 comes full circle in Revelation 12, it becomes more logical.

I've got a question about the US being a sanctuary for Jehovah's people though. How is Europe different from the US in this respect? Europe has the European Court of Human Rights, which is known to uphold human rights; also those of Jehovah's Witnesses. Also, there are human rights organizations both in America and Europe, but more importantly, since the Reformation many European countries have a tradition of providing religious freedom. Now I realize that after WWII the US provided a safe haven for many Witnesses, but there was also some persecution over there, and the situation in Europe after WWII seems to be on par with that in the US. Anyone care to help me out here?

I see Europe as anything but a stable place as far as religious tolerance, even since WWII. Many of the former Soviet States and occupied countries only recently gained religious freedom after the collapse of the USSR. We have had the Balkans upheaval and persecution persists in many places in Eastern Europe.

On the other hand the US has had not only the geographical insulation from the squabbles of the many countries in Europe but also a stable Constitutional democracy for well over two centuries. The New World has always been the Illuminati's goal to set up their kingdom of domain over the rest of the world. From here their secret societies can meet and plan and conquer without the fear of expulsion. For that reason an aerial view of Washington DC is a complex and unbelievably diabolical representation of all sorts of Freemason symbolism.

Those same freedoms afforded here so universally and no where else has allowed Jehovah's Witnesses to thrive and grow and preach in freedom from care, and has allowed the Watchtower to build a small city as world headquarters in downtown Brooklyn, and the massive facilities in Walkill NY and build a gigantic portfolio of other real estate holdings. It's those same freedoms that has kept the Freemasons from being catapulted out of here like they have been everywhere else.

These are some of the reasons why many so-called prophecy interpreters teach that America is Babylon the Great, which is, of course, a most unfortunate miscalculation.

Hope that helps some

Lou

By the way, Robert, the podcast was very much appreciated. I played it nice and loud while my wife was cooking and she heard the whole thing. She's an Episcopal and I caught her listening very attentively to the Trinity part. Next thing I know, she told me that she wants to watch the Knocking documentary.

Problem is I'll have to tape it because they're (insultingly) putting it on at 12:30 am in the NY area.

Yes, you're right, now that I've thought about it some more. There have been incidents involving Jehovah's Witnesses in Germany, France and Belgium, to name a few (related to not wanting to register the religion etc.). I just thought of the situation in the Netherlands, which has been known for its religious tolerance since long before the US of A were established, but I guess that is an exception rather than rule. Anyway, thanks for your comment, Jesh. :)

Berean, I had in mind a broader scope of history...taking into consideration the repression by the Nazis and Fascists in Germany, Italy and Spain in decades past. Not to mention the repression of all of Eastern Europe behind the Iron Curtain. Do you realize that Spain repressed the work of JW's up until the past couple of decades? Greece has a terrible record of oppressing Jehovah's Witnesses.

Yeah, I wrote that comment rather impulsively I suppose, without thinking of all those examples you mentioned. In that respect, the First Amendment has surely proven its use much more than many European constitutions. Thanks for your reply. :)
