Hello Everyone
I just wanted to let the board know I set up a new blog to respond to a book written by an xJW entitled "20 Questions Jehovah's Witnesses Cannot Answer." For some reason I thought it would be some difficult questions, but it is pretty basic stuff. I feel like asking for a refund. :icon_rolleyes:
But I felt compelled to provide the 20 answers nonetheless -- not that any reasonably well grounded Jehovah's Witness couldn't. At any rate, I only have one entry but over the course of the next few weeks I will be adding to the blog. Hey, I need some recreation, okay? :ban_dance01:
When it is finished I will post it on e-watchman and maybe provide it as a free download on Lulu or even publish it as a little book available for a minimum charge to cover Lulu's cost. The 20 questions book itself is pretty skimpy, as books go. It is only a little over 100 pages. Honestly, I don't know why he bothered.

It turns out that the author is an ex Jehovah's Witnesses who now claims to have found Jesus. (taken from blog)[/b]
Strange that you have posted this as of late I've been surfing around the net and have stumble on numerous places where ex Jehovah's Witnesses claim to have found Jesus. Of course some theses are no doubt plants by Trinitarians to convince us how wrong we are. However, some I believe are genuine and they all seem to give a personal testimony of how Jesus has come into their hearts.
One of the most interesting things I have discovered about so-called born again Christians is they have all had some personal experience. Some of them are about as bizarre as you could get. Somewhere they saw the Lord in some kind of apparition that's convinced that them the Lord is calling. If I were to take an educated guess with my limited experience of the paranormal this is where theses expression are coming from.
Just how does a JW after studying the trinity and knowing how pagan and blasphemous it is return to it and all the other pagan doctrine's of the church. I can only say the mind boggles. The very idea also that a loving God would burn people in hell is about as sick as it gets.

Indeed I cannot understand that someone who learned the basic truths about Jehovah and Jesus, goes back to something like this.

... almost as sick as the very idea that a loving God would kill everyone that is not a JW.

I think that by the time Armageddon gets here, whoever hasn't been slaughtered by the eighth king and still worships him and takes his mark will have no one else to blame.
That's why those with accurate knowledge who take the issues to heart will never be permanently destroyed by Jehovah.

One must remember being in the Truth does not nessessarly mean that the truth is in that person. You have all heard it said they were born in the Truth, that does not mean a thing if the Truth is not in them..
Jesus said by their fruits you shall know them.
Even Bro Franz Senior himself ( WT GB President) said and this is on record .
UNITY comes first then TRUTH. That was in a court trial years back. so just how strong was his faith ??
That alone should have raised a RED flag then.
Appearently it wasn't the time yet,
But look at all we can see at present, that should tell us something.
Yep it does, it shows that we are not in Darkness as some of the brothers are.
Why one may ask.? Why can we see what we see ??
There is no darkness with Jehovah, and this is who we took sides with. as the song goes
'Take sides with Jehovah, make Him your delight, He'll
never forsake you , walk er'e in His Light.
WE are a Blessed group here
Love every one of you,
All you new members and ever one of you thats lurking.
Of course thanking watchman and Timothy for providing this Pen
I :bisou: :bisou: guess I am in a gratefull mood today.

I don't think that's a teaching of Jehovah's witnesses. In any case I would rather He kill me than burn me in fire FOREVER (day after day without any reprieve, no end in sight) for sins that I committed let says for only 70 to 80 years. To me that's in not justice and loving. The punishment doesn't fit the crime.
By the way only 8 people survived the flood. Noah and his family. Was that sick or just?

Olm,
It looks like Watchman is working on one question at a time. Apparently he doesn't want his recreation to be over with too soon.

There are parts of the bible and things about Jehovah that I don’t even try to understand. Why only eight survive the flood Jehovah’s only knows. The bible has come in for much criticism over the way God has handle matters. My take on it is that whatever Jehovah decided to do is just:
The Rock, perfect is his activity,
For all his ways are justice.
A God of faithfulness, with whom there is no injustice;
Righteous and upright is he.
Jehovah’s justice even though we may not understand it is always perfect.

I really enjoyed reading your response to #5. I think religion in general has given a bad connotation to the word "organization" and the thought of organized religion is repulsive to some people. But, the word "brotherhood" conveys warmth and love, at least to me. So, for some people it may help them if we use that term, instead of organization.
Association is also a more neutral term. An association of brothers sounds so much more inviting than an organization. I'm going to make a mental note to emphasize this aspect of brotherhood, using the scriptures you cited, and hope it makes a more positive impression on the people I talk to.
It is a privilege to belong to this worldwide brotherhood. Thank you for giving a clear and simple explanation as to why there really is one brotherhood identifiable as the one that is a "pillar and support of the truth." (1 Tim. 3:15)
There are many people who would like to steer people away from Jehovah's Witnesses, but where else is there to go? Yes, there are problems in the congregations, but as Kenneth brought out in his lastest response on the "Captives to a Concept" thread, it's part of the sign that we are indeed in the last days. Jesus foretold we would be having these difficulties in the congregations. So, instead of letting that diminish our faith, let it strengthen it because we know our deliverance is getting near.
