The foremost apostate, Satan the Devil, has pursued a relentless course of resistance to "the God of truth." (Ps. 31:5 (http://www.watchtower.org/e/bible/index.htm?bk=ps;chp=31;vs=5;citation#bk1)) Some first-century Christians fell into "the snare of the Devil" because of being misled and deviating from the truth. So Paul urged his coworker Timothy to instruct them with mildness so that they might recover spiritually and get free from Satan's snare. (2 Tim. 2:23-26 (http://www.watchtower.org/e/bible/index.htm?bk=2ti;chp=2;vs=23;citation#bk1)) So, then, should we listen to apostates, read their literature, or examine their Web sites on the Internet? If we love God and the truth, we will not do so. We should not allow apostates into our homes or even greet them, for such actions would make us 'sharers in their wicked works.' Good Monday Morning Everyone.

Satan is always trying to get us to do something in opposition to Jehovah. As long as we can remember to do what Jesus did and said when being tried by the evil one we will be OKEY DOKEY.

Luke 4: In reply Jesus said to him: (After being tempted by Satan in his vulnerable weakened state in the wilderness) "IT IS WRITTEN, 'IT IS JEHOVAH YOUR GOD YOU MUST WORSHIP, AND IT IS TO HIM ALONE YOU MUST RENDER SACRED SERVICE.'

I just try to remember that all EVIL ORIGINATES from Jehovah's ENEMY, and I do not want to be an enemy of Jehovah. Jehovah is my Father and he is a very good Father to me.

Don't stop, look or listen to anything from Jehovah's enemy. Especially our thoughts. Hmmmmmmmmmm. Please don't act on those until you make sure where they are coming from. :icon_rolleyes: Satan has a tendency to make us believe bad is good and good is boring and bad. He is a LIAR point blank.

'Apostasy' , a word which brings shivers down the spine of the Watchtower!

Unfortunately, the above WT comment is typical of psychological manipulation in making us feel guilty in pursuing anything outside the Watchtower framework, including research on the internet, which remains the biggest threat to the Watchtower.

The comment does not expand on what really was 'apostasy' in the first century. The letters of the Apostle John clearly defines 'apostasy' which existed in the early Church as being the denial of Jesus being the Son of God, in addition to disputes regarding the validity of the resurrection teaching which even the Apostle Paul had to counterargue in his letters to various congregations. The Watchtower's definition of 'apostasy' goes beyond the things written.

The Watchtower has 'apostasised' the Word of God on many occasions in the past, its record speaks for itself. It continues to do so, by its twisted prophetic interpretation and its elevation of Governing Body serving as 'masters of our faith.'

The text and comment today is rather a timely reminder to be like the Beroeans 'carefully examining the Scriptures daily as to whether these things were so.'

That may include checking out the validity of what we read on the internet, it is part of our spiritual growth and a means of training our perceptive powers to distinguish both right and wrong.

The Watchtower attempts to prevent us from doing this, using its psychological manipulative counsel, but if we remain robots unable to meet the challenge of using our own perceptive powers and are content in being told what to do and believe by a governing body, how can we really grow as a Christian, well founded in the faith?

Excellent comment Alex. As we know, the most crucial decisions will be coming in the near future. Will we follow Jesus wherever he goes, or the Governing Body? That's a decision that will determine the eternal fate of each one of us.

To anyone lurking out there, please remember that every last vestige of Satan's world, and man-made government, is destined for destruction. That includes the UN, soon to become the "New World Order", which the Watchtower has been subtly selling to you as something with many benefits for mankind. Only Jehovah through his Son Jesus Christ can provide those benefits, and guarantee peace on earth. There will be NO compromises or alliances with man-rule. And when the final 8th King does indeed turn coat and become the dreaded Antichrist, he will attack ALL religion, starting with the one that is CLOSEST TO THE TRUTH.

The WT text is telling you one thing while Jehovah is sayng another.
Its true what our brother said.
The WT has it's own definition of what a apostate is. Which is NOT scriptual
.Jahs word says to be like the boereans to search out what is being said, the WT says not to even listen or read anything beyond the WT publications.

Stop and think a minute we are not in Christendem, that we would mislead you.
We are all lovers of Jehovah here , who are aware of the sins of the watchtower. The GB know this But to keep this mind control, they must convence you that if theres any thinking to be done it must come from the GB.

Didn&#39;t Jesus say ask and you will recieve, seek and you shall find, knock and it will be opened to you. He was speaking to YOU< ME < INDIVIDUALS>
YES, we are presented with food , but it is up to every single one of us to make sure it is the proper food at the proper time.

We have been fed food that has never even taken place yet., and accepted it without question that it has already happened,
know wonder we cant think for ourself, we are under fed.
Oh yes we have the core doctrines that took us out of false religion,
Remember before we took that Big step we made absolutly sure the Bible did prove what we were told.
That was our first love,( remember ) but it cooled off, we became lazy and just took for granted that the rest of what we were being told from 1914 on, just MUST also be the TRUTH. NOT SO !

Jehovah himself gave us a stong foundation to build on,
which was Christ the WORD of God, but the materials that the GB provided to build on that foundation will not stand.
Its going to burn down. Now is the time to scrap what we built on that solid foundation, and start putting fire resistant materials on the foundation Gods word gave us. Keep in mind There is not a FDS yet. That slave is appointed at the return of Christ, which has NOT taken place yet.

We are to make the Truth our own. Think about it. The GB never gave us anything that Jehovah already had for those that loved him. They directed us to Gods word, tought us how to search the scritures ,( which we are grateful for ) but slowly took control of our thinking
Once Jehovah seen that we had a good solid foundation to build on it was up to US to grow in the TRUTH. WE were given the best start ever to love the Truth or believe a LIE. 2Thess2: 1-12

But what happened ?
,Once we had that good solid foundation, we were not allowed to be the builders of our own faith, the GB became the builders..
NOW is the time to start to rebuild on the strong foundation we have, but only useing materials that we know came from Jehovah.
