Last year, someone posted a website where you could go and listen to all the presentations at the District Convention. If someone finds that information this year, please post it or if not allowed, PM me the website address.

I never go because of agarraphobia. When I lived in MD a brother would bring assemblies and conventions he had recorded and put on CD. Now I'm in TN and have no such access. I HATE missing all this info.

I would really appreciate any help.

I have that web site on my PC at home jammin4. I am traveling with my laptop to the District Convention in SF, but I will PM that web site to you next week when I return home. I think it is against board policy to post that web address here. It is a great site for downloading convention talks though. I have done it many times myself! For those that can't attend any of the assemblies or conventions you may want to check it out.

I would also like to know how I could hear the talks. I'm too ill to go the meetings, or anywhere else (g92 8/22 p.13). I used to get the recordings on cassette tape or mp3 cd's, but I've recently moved to FL to be near my mother (not in the Truth) and I don't know anybody down here to call (I only have the phone number of the KH). If you have a website that posts the talks I would be very grateful.

Thank you.

Hi Doubting Thomas

would you mind if i had that site for convention info too?

i saw on one wesite the list of talks that are to be given - all about following Jesus-it sounds so appetising - but like Jammin4 i have aggrophobia also plus post traumatic stress and find attending conventions very distressing

i wonder if Flowerchild is tempted to go to the convention this year - i remember her posts helped me take another look at the societies lack of focus on Jesus - it almost makes me think the org did this just for her - hello Flowerchild if you read these posts :buja_w_oblokach:

Welcome Keithcarley,
So sorry that your ill, hope this board if anything makes you spiritually strong.

You know I was thinking, all of the WT talks were really written for the generation that lived thru WW1, so they really are not the latest light.

The scriptures tell us that Gods Word is a Lamp to our foot.
We also know the light is to grow brighter , so if you want to update from what you know to what is at the present, start reading the newest light in the scriptures, dealing with our generation.

Watchman has some real good prophcies from the old prophets that apply to this present generation, that will not pass away until all the things accur
These prophecies did not scriptually take place for the WW1 generation but are taken place in our generation.

If you haven't already gotten into the essays ,commintaries ,and
Questions/answers, you will have a feast ,so if you are hungry thats the way to go.

May the God of comfort Jehovah ,comfort you

Welcome again

I just sent a PM to all who requested the web address for listening to or downloading previous convention talks. I hope that I did not miss anyone. If I did, just PM me one more time and I will re-send it. It seems that many of us have a chronic illness which prevent our attending meetings and conventions. This issue was addressed several times at this years convention too - that we need to be more empathetic to those with chronic illnesses. Enjoy!

I am not sure if this is the same site as Doubting Tom has but here is the link. You have to be a member though to access the files. I am not a member so I can't say what is involved.

That is a different site than mine Robert. But thanks for sharing this link. It appears to be even better organized than the one I was using.

One joins a Yahoo group and then can view some of the restricted areas. Some interesting stuff there.

The following message was posted on the site Robert gave us a link to in his post above:

Welcome new ones especially ones referred from another site.

According to my site logs, there is a link to the website posted on June 7 on an apostate forum site. Someone wanted to know where to get District Convention talks for download and the site owner posted my website link. Which is fine, it directs people here who would ordinarily be fooled by the antiWitnesses and apostates. If people want to link to the site, that is fine. I won't post the url of it but it calls itself Jehovah's Witnesses - An Online Community or Paradise Cafe. And is run by Robert King who is an apostate.

Twenty people have joined this group since June 7th so some may have been referred here from there. So those of you who recently joined here from there, welcome and good to have you at a place to get real and accurate information on Jehovah's Witnesses, that is by us ourselves.

There are many anti-Witness or apostate forums on the net and they make themselves look like good Witnesses forums until one starts to read the messages and it is all negativity and complaints.

The only good forum that I know of is
www.jwforum.net
