You know, we always see the W.T artist give there depiction of what paradise will look like once the earth is rid of wickedness. But in these depictions there is no hint of technology anywhere. No automobiles ( Not that they would be missed) nothing. What do you guys think, will we have technology or will we just go back to living off the land...hunter gather type of thing (I think we'll all be vegitarians)

I always think about this, because technology fascinates me. (My husband as well) In my opinion, thinking about it, I don't think there will be cars. They pollute. They kill people in accidents.

I think having a perfect mind will allow mankind to make things we've never dreamed of. Yet still talking care of the earth as Jehovah meant.

I always think, maybe we'll invent some other form of transportation, but then I also think, we'll have forever so why worry about getting to someplace FAST. :icon_rolleyes: With using our brains to full capacity, who knows what is possible.

All in All I don't really know, but I think about it. I just really hope that I please Jehovah enough to even be considered a candidate to witness such things. I really want to see it.

When I first saw the subject on your post, I thought you were talking about Techno music!

For the post armaggedon earth, it might be possible to train insects to skywrite like airplanes do.

I would like to see some of the artists include kids on hoverboards....a family flying via jet-packs over a vast ocean.....a tour group aboard a space vehicle heading into outer space. Maybe we will have transporters Star Trek style, or Wonka-Vision, except we won't shrink to a miniature size on after transport.

And that's only what my little pea-brain can imagine.....

I think reality will be far greater than anything we can imagine, and that we will laugh our heads off when we think back to what we imagined things could be like. My current imaginations are probably very crude and simple compared to what we will be able to dream up in the future.

Jehovah gave us a great gift when he gave us intelligence. While some people may prefer to live life in a very simple manner, I think we will have the freedom of choice. My neighbors might travel via horse and carriage....I might be traveling via sound waves. Who knows? But it's fun to think about.

I think we're going to find that there is advanced technology beyond what we can wildly imagine right in front of us, in the dirt, sea water, and air. It's the global elite who prevent these things from becoming reality, so they can have the monopoly on everything that is profitable that destroys the environment.

I have no doubt that we can invent motors that run on seawater or perpetual motion and actually clean the air as they work.

Haha, that was my first though as well. :D

But yeah, personally, I hope the technology wouldn't be too advanced. There are many things we have today that cannot but pollute the Earth. These things are even depicted in WT illustrations of paradise, if you look closely:
* builders will be wearing plastic safety hats
* some kids will be playing volleyball, with a net and all
* people wear all kinds of clothing
* there are tools, musical instruments, et cetera

Now unless all these products are left over from before Armageddon (perhaps not entirely unlikely), we would still need chemical plants and other industries to produce all these products. This would seem highly unrealistic to me, and it would make more sense to go back to a state similar to the one the world was in before the industrial revolution. That's what I hope and think, at least, but I could be wrong.

As Jeshurun already mentioned there should be no doubt that surpries Jehovah has in store for us are mouthwatering.

Considering that so called experts concede that we only use around 10% of our brain capacity, the ideas & manisfestations of an increased capabilitity should be sufficent to ensure that we can fulfilll our needs.

TBH, circumstances allowing I would be happy to live of the land in an basic form.

I can think of nothing better than learning to design & build my home & designing a method of transport to visit friends & family in far away countries.

We really cannot appreciate the wonderful awe-inspiring world to come- use your imagination.

Miffed...

Running a car on seawater could indeed be possible, either by fusion or indirectly via large scale electralysis, but there will never be a perpetual motion machine, unless Jehovah decided to allow us to break his own laws! He'd either have to repeal thermodynamics or do away with friction, and friction is pretty useful for things like standing, walking, nailing things together, etc, etc. :ban_dance01:

I'm with most of the crowd here, we'll have lots of high tech stuff. The whole reason Jehovah confused our languages was because, even as imperfect men, if we all worked together we might have developed technology, such as nuclear weapons, and did ourselves in far ahead of Jehovah's time table. Even with handicaps such as short lifespans, imperfections, and cultural strife, it is amazing what we have been able to put our brains towards doing. Once those are removed, who knows what we'll be able to accomplish with Jehovah's full blessing.
