Hello Friends
As of the last day of June it looks like e-watchman.com will have had slightly over 30,000 visitors for the month. That averages out to just over 1,000 individual visitors per day. Typically traffic drops off during the summer months but 30,000 is the most traffic e-watchman has had since we started with a new web counter about 8 months ago.
Roughly 45% of the traffic comes from search engines. The rest from external links and bookmarked clicks. Besides drawing traffic from all the English speaking lands and a consistently disproportionate number of visitors from the Netherlands, e-watchman is now attracting a modest number of visitors from Mexico. Unfortunately, I felt compelled to drop the links to the Dutch and Spanish versions of e-watchman since the translators of those sites apparently lost interest in their work. But, obviously, English is essentially a universal language or is fast becoming one.
Jehovah Himself Has Become King continues to see modest interest as well. For the month of June the electronic book had over 1,000 downloads. The total number of downloads since September, 2005, when the book was published, is now over 67,000. Those who download a copy of the book presumably have more than a casual interest and are not mere web surfers. Assuming those who downloaded the book were all Jehovah's Witnesses that means that roughly 1% of Jehovah's Witnesses globally have been exposed to the thoughts presented concerning Jehovah's judgments. And, of course, a much larger percentage also have some familiarity with the main website but have not downloaded the book. But given the inter-connectedness of the organization and the power of email and the Internet even 1% represents a vast potential to reach virtually all of Jehovah's Witnesses in a short period of time.
I expect that the outbreak of international war and global financial collapse in the near future, perhaps detonated by a new 9-11, will bring about the circumstances that brings the Watchtower down; causing Jehovah's Witnesses to re-think their presently held beliefs concerning the outworking of prophecy and the entire 1914 doctrine. When people start asking questions it is an opportunity to present answers. Hopefully, Jehovah willing, e-watchman will serve that function when the time arrives.
