Todays text:

Acts 5:14 - "More than that, believers in the Lord kept on being added, multitudes both of men and of women"

Today's text shows us that multitudes became believers. How did that happen?
Acts 5:12 - "Moreover, through the hands of the apostles many signs and portents continued to occur among the people"
The apostles were teaching with the help of the holy spirit.
The religious leaders during that time were jealous because the apostles were succesful. So they ordered the apostles to stop teaching (acts 5:27,28).
What was the answer of the apostles? Acts 5:29 - "In answer Peter and the [other] apostles said: "We must obey God as ruler rather than men"
What a fine example for us.
Topic Taking a stand for Jehovah (http://e-jehovahs-witnesses.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=66&hl=) describes some of the difficulties from our brothers/sisters during WWII. They truly showed us how we can act as the apostles in our time by obeying Jehovah rather than men.

much love,
Barry

Goodmorning Barry...how are you today

What a privilege we have to go and preach the good news of Jesus and the Kingdom and the purposes of Jehovah God our heavanly Father....

due to internet...certainly much low down dirty laundry list has been exposed on the WTS....so this is going to make it extra hard on we as JW fulfilling our dear Lord and Saviours command to go and preach this good news....and also knowing the things we know ourselves is going take extra insight on how each of us will handle our ministry....

However, when we think on our brothers and sister in Germany in and during WW2...many took their stand for Jehovah and Christ Jesus never compromising their integrity ....and for some it meant death.....

I hope all have a blessed and fruitful day
