View Full Version : Why Do The Other Sheep Attend?

The practise of passing the emblems by the vast majority of the Jehovahs Witnesses at the memorial each year cuase some observers to state such as :-
" The WT Society performs a secret ritual every year which is their primary ritual. This ritual is actually the ancient gnostic (satanic) ritual of saying no to the body of Christ. This ancient satanic ritual is now secretly practiced under the disguise of the Memorial Supper"
Which made me think, if "keep doing this in rememberance of me" is purely directed at the Annointed in the covernant relationship, why are the Great Crowd even expected to atend?
What does it have to do with us?
OK, so of course its such a Spiritualy significant event that we would want to OBSERVE and be reminded of the importance of it, and some are especially privelaged to witness some of Jesus Brothers partaking, but for the majority of us... why do we pass the emblems, untouched around the whole congreagation?
We are probably all in awe as they pass through our hands, terrified of dropping them, but I can see what the writter above is reffering to.
Why cannot the emblems be available at the front for and in case, any Annointed our present, rather than what does seem to be an ritual act of refusal, even done for what we view as the right reason in not being of the calling?

Speaking just for myself, I look forward to and use the occasion each year to somberly reflect on my personal relationship with Jehovah and my glorious King Christ Jesus. I appreciate my invitation to attend. It doesn't bother me that the emblems are passed to all, rather than just placed in the front for the annointed to approach for partaking. I am just so grateful that I have come to a knowledge and appreciation for Jehovah and His allowing me to come into a personal relationship with Him and His son. While I have no desire (Jehovah has not annointed me or called me to rule in the heavens) to be amoung the 144,000 - I do look forward to eternal life in a Paradise earth. In fact, the concept of going to heaven is so foreign to me that I can't even imagine it. I would not want to go. I hope I am never annointed for that heavenly calling. If I was going to be, I am sure that i would know that by now at 52 years of age. But I just want to live forever on a cleansed earth.

Well DT,
Perhaps if it is Jehovah's will and we make it into the paradise earth you will hear me say OKEY DOKEY and you will know that it is me EYES & EARS. :D
I also have no desire to go to heaven. I want to stay right down here if that is what Jehovah allows me to do.
As far as the emblems being left up front, I have not a clue why the memorial is observed the way it is. I'm just glad as DT to be there, and focus on what Jehovah and Jesus have done and will do in the future for mankind.
I do wonder about how they do other things though, like reading all those paragraphs and answering questions WT and other publications. Recording hours for field service, titles like, PIONEERS, SPECIAL PIONEERS, ETC.
How only certain folks can get special publications if they have these special titles.
I just don't care for all that. But I guess things have to be organized. I just want to serve Jehovah and if this is the way certain things are done now, I will go with the flow as long as it does not interrupt or interfere with my relationship with Jehovah or require me to disobey him in anyway.
Just my thoughts. Sorry I got off topic a tad
E & E
Hi folks! :)
I would think that one reason that the great crowd of other sheep is expected to attend is that we as the great crowd would benefit from the New Covenant arrangement. By being respectful observers, we would indicate that we understand that we are not part of the New Covenent yet we understand that we will receive blessings because Jehovah has put that arrangement in place.

Hi Nambo
May I ask the source of that statement? Only because I would love to see what other insane fairy tales they have conjured up about our faith. It certainly seems like Satan has thought of every conceivable way to disrespect Christ. Whoever said that obviously knows nothing about the Witnesses, and is just a Witness-basher flinging baseless accusations. Even if it was an ancient gnostic ritual, those people were knowingly rejecting Christ. Of course no true Witness sees it that way, they pass the emblems on because they are knowingly unworthy, and if they are like me and many others who have expressed their feelings, they have no desire to be anointed and are more than thrilled to have the prospect of being part of the Great Crowd. It's just amazing that someone can take every conceivable thing we do and twist it into something diabolical. Attacking the Memorial is the last straw.

To attend the memorial gives you and me a oportunity to partake in respect and also to remember how important Jesus life and death was for mankind.
To not attend would take away a lot of the feeling of apprication and love for Jesus and Jehova. Thats how I feel it

Hi Lou, if you want I will PM you the link, its called "13 Bloodlines of the Illuminati" and looks at all the dodgy things of each of the 13 families such as the Rothchilds.
Now Russell is an Illuminati bloodline, though I dont think it can be proved our Russell is in that line.
So the site doesnt really knock the Witnesses as such except for the given example and to show letters that Russell sent Rothchild supporting him for his Zionist efforts to reastablish fleshly Israel and get the homeland back for the Jews.
The rest of you, I totally agree and as I said, am in awe when holding the emblems and meditating on what Iam holding in my hands.
Non-the-less, the quote did make me think, and I have just been reading Leviticus where only Priests where allowed to touch various Holy items on pain of death despite the fact that these Holy things where for the benefit of all.
I was especialy looking for any scriptural reason as the only one I see is, "keep doing this in rememberance of me" and it does seem like it could be viewed we are demonstrating the opposite.

Thanks bro, and yes please send me the link.
We know that William Russell, founder of "Skull and Bones", was an Illuminatus. Someone on this DB a few weeks back said that CT Russell was his first cousin. Does anyone have information on this?
Thanks
Lou
