Talk about history repeating itself. Investment in a date, 1914, to establish doctrinal understanding already caused a huge rupture almost a century ago.

Thanks for another thought provoking Podcast Watchman.
On the issue of reaching out whilst being aware of and believing what you say about the 1914 doctrine et al - I could hear you saying one thing whilst perhaps holding back some unspoken reservations. I sympathise with you and think you answered well but for my own part I think knowing the real truth and still playing along with those WTS false teachings and ignoring the deceptive actions of the GB on both the NGO issue and the child molestation cover up means any right-hearted brother would find the prospect of either reaching out for a position of oversight or holding on to one untenable.
Since all scripture is beneficial etc this does present something of a dilemma doesn't it? Once Paul saw the light on the road to Damascus however he didn't reason that the Jewish system whilst ultimately condemned continued to function so he'd stay inside that organisation until it fell. Nor did the apostles do so in the 3 1/2 year period after Jesus' return when in fact the time was still allowed for the Jewish system to repent and turn around. They effectively preached from outside thise organisational constraints. I am not suggesting that anyone should cease attending the Kingdom Hall if they find it possible and desireable to do so and ultimately remaining in a position of oversight is a personal decision but I am saying that the latter would certainly be disingenuous for me personally.
Thanks again Robert, look forward to the next podcast.
