That quote from the Watchtower is actually the focus of the latest Commentary, "Do You Believe the Lie," which takes another look at how the 1914 doctrine has actually served to deceive Jehovah's Witnesses, and where that teaching really originated.

I wonder - what do you make of the fact that as the Yen carry trade unwinds, the British Pound is the main beneficiary with some commentators predicting an exchange rate on cable as high as 2.45? Is this in some way part of the KoN's strategy to defeat the KoS?

Robert I just finnished reading the article. My question is, If Satan is going to attempt this false parosia with "Every sort of lying sign" and the signs will possably even fool "the chosen ones", what kind of signs can thy actually be? Obveously they would have to look extreamly authentic or how else would the holy ones be decieved? Would this also be the same time that the "Two witnesses" come upon the scene, to alert everyone as to whats really going on? Just some passing thoughts, thats all. Thanks in advance.

But surely, triggering the Great War at the precise time so as to lend credibility to seven-times chronology would have been no extraordinary feat for the god of this world to perform. As a consequence, the Devil has been able to place his own lying signs as the very sign of Christ’s presence. How deceptive! Furthermore, Satan could have easily instigated the brief wave of rebellion at Bethel and the government persecution that occurred in 1916-1918, which has since then served as the basis for interpreting dozens of prophecies and parables as having been fulfilled upon the handful of International Bible Students back then. As Paul foretold, Satan has indeed used every unrighteous deception to prop up the lie he has spawned.

Another aspect of the Devils assemblage of unrighteous deception is that the 1914 doctrine has allowed the Watchtower Society to write themselves a blank check. They have done so by claiming that Christ appointed his faithful slave over all of his belongings in 1918-19. As a result, Jehovah’s Witnesses have been led to believe that there is no future day of reckoning for the faithful slave. The doctrine is close to the Papacy’s teaching of infallibility and has led to the idolization of the organization, which suits the Devil and his man of lawlessness.[/b]

I really enjoyed your write-up in regards to the 1914 picture that was on Home page the other day.
Wasn't that WW1 1914 timely !! It allowed that Lie to go forth almost a century ahead of time.
Pushing pieces together, where even many anointed fell asleep, believing that LIE. Only the father of the 1914-Lie could manuever the prophecies to seem to fit the events that followed. How deceptive; but, then again the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one, so we really shouldn't be surprised.

Some may feel , 'well it really wasn't that many that fell for the Lie.' Thats not the point. The point is, that, it was Gods Household that was invaded. The man of lawlessness not only invaded Gods Temple but sat down and stayed.
So this leaves our brothers still being led by the LIE.

2 Thess 2:11 "so that is why God lets a operation of error go to them,that they may get to believing the lie".
That dream in Danial is what convinced me of 1914

A test of FAITH !! Very possible.
Look at the test Abraham went through. Abrahams faith in the promises of God s word , Abrahams belief in the resurrection had to be very strong.

I feel we are in for many twists and turns.
