A subtle shift in Kingdom Hall policy across the organization has led to the removal of mail receptacles, cutting off potential communication from interested ones, as well as others. The latest commentary from Robert*King addresses this new attempt to further close off congregations from outside contact, and is now available at e-watchman.com. Also updated is the Revelation blog, covering the topic of "The Two Witnesses."

To add just a little further to what you say Robert, we have also received instructions from the platform and in the KM in the past year or two, that when publishers send letters to householders, that we absolutly DO NOT use the Kingdom Hall address as the return address, but use our personal address for the return address. That's why I no longer write letters to householders.

Its like that saying, "Walls have ears".
It seems that, "Whitewashed walls have no ears".

This is really disturbing and its quite saddening to me.
Almost everyday I have this thought. I look up to the heavens and ask, "When is going to be over, Jehovah? Even if you have not found favor in me, when is it going to be over?"

I'd say it's ALL about control. I don't have any stats, but I'm sure there are many KHs' with multiple congregations. For example, my hall had 5, now it's 6 congregations, but only 1 address!! So who controls and opens the mail? I am not privy to that info.

Take heart Orchid, these things must occur.
As Gorbachev once quoted "and these things too must pass...."
