When does Jesus hand over the Kingdom to Jehovah? Before or after the 1000 years have ended?

After, but I see SlaveForJah is on top of it and I'm sure elaborations are forthcoming!

Hello renewed,
Christian Greetings.
"20 However, now Christ has been raised up from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep [in death]. 21 For since death is through a man, resurrection of the dead is also through a man. 22 For just as in Adam all are dying, so also in the Christ all will be made alive. 23 But each one in his own rank: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who belong to the Christ during his presence. 24 Next, the end, when he hands over the kingdom to his God and Father, when he has brought to nothing all government and all authority and power.25 For he must rule as king until [God] has put all enemies under his feet. 26 As the last enemy, death is to be brought to nothing. 27 For [God] "subjected all things under his feet." But when he says that 'all things have been subjected,' it is evident that it is with the exception of the one who subjected all things to him. 28 But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him, that God may be all things to everyone." - 1Corinthians 15:20-28
"4 And I saw thrones, and there were those who sat down on them, and power of judging was given them. Yes, I saw the souls of those executed with the ax for the witness they bore to Jesus and for speaking about God, and those who had worshiped neither the wild beast nor its image and who had not received the mark upon their forehead and upon their hand. And they came to life and ruled as kings with the Christ for a thousand years. 5 (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. 6 Happy and holy is anyone having part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no authority, but they will be priests of God and of the Christ, and will rule as kings with him for the thousand years.
7 Now as soon as the thousand years have been ended, Satan will be let loose out of his prison,...
13 And the sea gave up those dead in it, and death and HaŽdes gave up those dead in them, and they were judged individually according to their deeds. 14 And death and HaŽdes were hurled into the lake of fire. This means the second death, the lake of fire." - Revelation 20:4-7, 13,14
I believe that this indicates that Christ hands the Kingdom over to his Father when all enemies have been brought to nothing, the last of which is death. This happens "as soon as the thousand years have been ended" when Death and Hades are hurled into the lake of fire.
I hope this helps.

Ha ha, thanks for the nod Jesh. Sorry for being so "elaborate" at times. This time I just tried to let the Scriptures do most of the talking. I find that works better anyhow, and I usually escape putting my foot in my mouth...although I've grown accustomed to the taste of leather.

LOL I mostly wear sneakers and rubber isn't much better. I was actually relieved that you came up with the scriptures because I was running out of work and felt guilty about giving a one-word answer without doing the legwork. So, thanks for bailin' me out. :bier:

Rev 20:
6Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.
Not a literal 1000 years?
Rev 20:
7When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison 8and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earthGog and Magogto gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore.
Do those of the first resurrection take part in killing off those who follow Satan after the 1000 years or just Jesus? Is the Kingdom Jesus handing back to God not included 144,000 but just those on earth? Jesus is still involved with earth after 1000 years but not after death is done away with?
