World War Three Updates

I've always wondered about that illustration. The anointed are the bride of Christ as I know it. So Christ is coming to his house with the bride. What's the deal with the virgins at this point? IMO, they don't represent the anointed but am open to other ideas.

We got us a Convoy.
We donā€™t bother with all that song and dance when moving nuclear weaponry, we just tag an extra wagon on to a freight train going in the desired direction. And a bloke looks in on it now and again to make sure itā€™s okay. It generally is as we put a lid over the ā€œon/off button and for extra security, a padlock. Nobody notices.

Does it say that? I think Christ is coming as a bridegroom in that he is just about to be married but is not married yet, so his bride is not with him when he arrives in this illustration. Maybe that helps compartmentalize the virgins a bit better?

Luke 12:35-36 definitely is referring to the anointed. They are the ā€œlittle flockā€. I understand your point, however, I can only guess that singularly the ā€œvirginsā€ are not the bride, they probably are collectively the bride and also individually the brideā€™s companions. The illustration is not literal and so I wouldnā€™t try to make it an exact and logical replica of each role. It is symbolic and illustrative.
AsĆ, puestos a imaginar.

Up until 2015 seems the hegemonic U.S was achieving whatever it's agenda dictated, until Obama's dictum 'ASSAD MUST GO!' failed. https://www.washingtonpost.com/busi...76baba-71ec-11e5-9cbb-790369643cf9_story.html Why did he fail? Because Russia said NO! And stepped in. Just like Russia has stepped up to the plate and stopped Ukraine. Ray McGovern's take is priceless:

It's 32 where he talks about the little flock. But yeah, if we consider the Christian Greek Scriptures, they are all directed at the anointed in one way or another, right?

Yes, it's important to consider symbolism in the illustrations of Christ. For instance, if we didn't, we would take the illustration of the rich man and Lazarus as a treatise on the existence of hell. But the rest of the Bible says there is no hell.

But the rich man and Lazarus is an incredibly deep illustration and, among other things, it does teach us some very important things about the classes of the times and how they were going to relate.

It's the same with the 10 virgins illustration and I don't think it's right to think of it as..."fuzzy", to use an expression. The Bible has a lot of Type/Anti-type examples.

For instance, in Jehovah's Israel, we had a priestly class...actually 2 priestly classes. There were the High Priest and his family. They entered before Jehovah to present the sacrifice and officiate during holy days and other duties. BUT, there were a secondary class of priests that did the grunt work in the temple. They washed sacrifices, they dragged carcasses out of the camp, etc, etc, etc.

Is it possible that the new system will have a parallel? Christ's bride will reside in heaven with him as the Kingdom rulers but could it be that another class of earthly "priests" will minister to the nations and crowds and peoples and tongues that come out of the Armageddon? The virgins of the parable, perhaps?

I'm just thinking out loud here, spit-balling an idea. TBH, it doesn't originate with me anyway. But it does make sense to me. Dogma is insane and none of us should participate in it. The WBTS does enough of that.

I think the Bible uses the phrase "priests and the Levites" to describe Aaron's family and the rest of the non-priestly Levites who do the work 8n the temple.

The Bride of Christ and the Watchtower

Sunday, December 13

The king will long for your beauty, for he is your lord, so bow down to him.ā€”Ps. 45:11.

Over the centuries, Christ has been preparing his future bride for their heavenly wedding. The apostle Paul explained that Christ ā€œloved the congregation and gave himself up for it, in order that he might sanctify it, cleansing it with the bath of water by means of the word, so that he might present the congregation to himself in its splendor, without a spot or a wrinkle or any of such things, but holy and without blemish.ā€ Paul told the anointed Christians in ancient Corinth: ā€œI am jealous over you with a godly jealousy, for I personally promised you in marriage to one husband that I might present you as a chaste virgin to the Christ.ā€ The Bridegroom-King Jesus Christ appreciates the spiritual ā€œbeautyā€ of his future bride. And the bride recognizes him as her ā€œlordā€ and ā€˜bows down to himā€™ as her future husband.

COMMENTARY

There was obviously very little ā€œpreparationā€ required during the intervening centuries when the truth did not exist, having been completely subsumed by the Roman Empire. There were brief flickers of the truth in Europe during the long Dark Ages and Middle Ages, when groups such as the Waldenses and the Lollards sprang up. Although not without an impact, they were ultimately persecuted into submission and their light was snuffed out. It simply wasnā€™t Jehovahā€™s time.
The appearance of the International Bible Students and the Watchtower Society in the latter 1880ā€™s marked a significant point of location in modern history where God renewed the calling and choosing and preparation of the final members of the so-called bride class.
As in the first century, so too in the present period, Christ does not oversee a conglomeration of competing sects. The evidence abounds that the Christian Congregation of Jehovahā€™s Witnesses has served as the temporary gathering point for those who are the prospective members of the future bride of Christ. As one evidence of that, Revelation depicts the 144,000 standing upon Mount Zion having the name of both the Lamb and the Father written upon their foreheads. That indicates that all of the 144,000 give witness to being owned by Jehovah and Christ. They are not ashamed of the name Jehovah. They do not refrain from using it, preferring instead to use a Hebrew abbreviation (YHWH). Nor do they refuse to use the common expression in their own language because of issues regarding the correct Hebrew spelling.
But as regards the Watchtower, it shall not always act as the owner of those who belong to Jehovah. My work these past 13 years has been to point forward to the culmination of Godā€™s work in connection with the so-called ā€œearthly organization.ā€ It will be in the aftermath of the judgment to come that the bride and the spirit say to all: ā€œCome!ā€ and let anyone thirsting come; let anyone who wishes take lifeā€™s water free.ā€> https://e-watchman.com/the-bride-of-christ-and-the-watchtower/

WT and the rest of the world are going through a sort of modern day Dark Age. The ā€œflickersā€ of light are here on this forum where Iā€™ve learned so much in the last 2 1/2 years and I thank Jehovah for this.

No doubt there will still be some who take the lead on earth but personally I donā€™t see the virgins as anything other than the anointed. I think it is another illustration to demonstrate the separating of those chosen and those not chosen. I think those who may be described as weeds are really under Satanā€™s influence and are in deep trouble when Jesus comes but perhaps there could also be ones who will not be chosen and yet not receive the death penalty? I just pray that we all can be first hand witnesses and find out.

I think the same. That wedding is literally speaking, the union of two worlds, the earthly and the heavenly. We cannot cut and paste and superimpose one on top of the other as if it were tracing paper. Taking into account that the bride is 144,000 individual people, perhaps it gives us an idea of how impossible it is for us as earthly beings to understand a higher world with a higher order. I focus more on the greatness of Jesus and that 144,000 beings are necessary to join him. So, let's imagine.
